My approach is first to lightly draw the rough shapes/over all features, then refine the details (pressing the pencil down harder so it is whiter), finally adding the really bright high lights.

It looks like the "squares" are moving up and down. 00:45 - Look to both center circuls, they are the same size. 00:50 - How many legs has the elephant? 01:01 - Impossible picture. 01:06 - How many coluns has the temple? 01:26 - The center lines have the same size. 01:32 - It's a perfect square, but it looks like the sides are rounded. 01:56 - Where are they sitting? 02:01 - Those "rectangules" have the same size. 02:17 Look to one spiral, it looks like the others are twirling. 02:21 - Another impossible picture. if you want a better description of a illusion, send me a message. Julian Beever's Pavement Drawings
Julian Beever is an English chalk artist who has been creating chalk drawings on pavement since the mid-1990s that create the illusion of three dimensions when viewed from the right location. These trompe-l'oeil drawings are created using a projection called anamorphosis and appear to defy the laws of perspective. Besides the 3D art, Beever paints murals and replicas of the works of masters and oil paintings, and creates collages. He is often hired as a performance artist and to create murals for companies. Hello guys! I'm back... I did not have any time last week to make a video. D: This has probably been one of the busiest weeks I've had in a long while. I decided (very last minute) that I wanted to start taking summer classes instead of waiting until October, so this past Monday was my first day of school (part of the reason I was so busy). I also went to the beach and did a bunch of other stuff this week too. This picture, I actually finished inking at the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 midnight premier, while my friends and I were waiting in line (for 8 hours XD lol)... I decided to include the drawing of her hair at the beginning of the video, thought you might be interested to see how I draw hair... I don't use an outline when I ink in hair, I just do it by hand. Drawing for Kids: Cowboy & Giraffe (Part 1)
In part 1 of "Drawing for Kids" I show two fairly basic cartoon drawings -- an easy to draw cowboy and a giraffe (that's just a little more difficult). The reason I like these two is that kids seem to like to embellish these a little more. The cowboy ends up riding a horse or holding a gun and the Giraffe tends to end up multiple colors or having multi-colored spots.
