Killer Tofu

Alright, this song is from "Doug." A show that I loved as a child, it's played by "The Beets," obviously a crack at the Beatles. It's my favorite song of theirs, even better than "I need more allowance." I remembered this song when me and my older brother were reminiscing about our childhood. I felt that I needed to upload this. Lyrics are as folows: Killer Tofu! Fast food feels fuzzy 'Cuz it's made from stuff that's scuzzy I always thought I was such a nerd I refuse to touch that strange bean curd I wouldn't eat it- WOOH! But it tastes good Ah Ee Ooh KILLER TOFU! Ee Ah Ee Ooh Ee Ooh KILLER TOFU! I eat my sugar cereal But it makes my teeth bacterial! Ee Ah Ee Oh Oh Ee Ah Ee If you're feelin' kind of cruddy Ee Ah Ee Just stick right by your buddy Ee Ah Ee Oh Oh I don't eat- TTTTT-Too much fried food! Yah! Ah Ee Ooh KILLER TOFU! Ee Ah Ee Ooh Ee Ooh KILLER TOFUUUU!

Douglas Engelbart : The Mother of All Demos (1/9)

On December 9, 1968, Douglas C. Engelbart and the group of 17 researchers working with him in the Augmentation Research Center at Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park, CA, presented a 90-minute live public demonstration of the online system, NLS, they had been working on since 1962. The public presentation was a session in the of the Fall Joint Computer Conference held at the Convention Center in San Francisco, and it was attended by about 1000 computer professionals. This was the public debut of the computer mouse. But the mouse was only one of many innovations demonstrated that day, including hypertext, object addressing and dynamic file linking, as well as shared-screen collaboration involving two persons at different sites communicating over a network with audio and video interface. JavaScript: The Good Parts

Google Tech Talks Web Exponents presented by Doug Crockford February 27, 2009 blog post: google-code-updates.blogspot.com JavaScript is a language with more than its share of bad parts. It went from non-existence to global adoption in an alarmingly short period of time. It never had an interval in the lab when it could be tried out and polished. JavaScript has some extraordinarily good parts. In JavaScript there is a beautiful, highly expressive language that is buried under a steaming pile of good intentions and blunders. The best nature of JavaScript was so effectively hidden that for many years the prevailing opinion of JavaScript was that it was an unsightly, incompetent abomination. This session will expose the goodness in JavaScript, an outstanding dynamic programming language. Within the language is an elegant subset that is vastly superior to the language as a whole, being more reliable, readable and maintainable. Speaker: Douglas Crockford Douglas Crockford is a product of our public education system. A registered voter, he owns his own car. He has developed office automation systems. He did research in games and music at Atari. He was Director of Technology at Lucasfilm. He was Director of New Media at Paramount. He was the founder and CEO of Electric Communities/Communities.com. He was founder and CTO of State Software, where he discovered JSON. He is interested in Blissymbolics, a graphical, symbolic language. He is developing a secure programming language. He ...

In what can only be called an Easter miracle several air traffic controllers in Southern Florida were able to guide a plane to a successful landing after its pilot fell unconscious and a passenger had to fly the aircraft all during a heavy traffic push due to the holiday and good weather. Said NATCA President Patrick Forrey: If you were to ask any one of the controllers who worked this event about what happened over the skies of South Florida they would tell you that it was just a typical day at the office and that it was merely their job however, the actions they all took to save the passengers aboard the flight were beyond heroic. They all went above and beyond the call of duty and it is times like these that I hope the flying public can see the invaluable lifeline that controllers provide every day and particularly in emergency situations. These men and women are true heroes and Im proud to be in the same profession as them. At approximately 1:30 pm ...

Doug Casey talks to James Turk

Subscribe to our newsletter at www.goldmoney.com In this video, Doug Casey, founder and chairman of Casey Research Institute, talks to the GoldMoney Foundation's James Turk about the greater depression that is facing the developed world. In Casey's view, finding intriguing investment opportunities is difficult at the moment, owing to the dislocations affecting economies as a result of central banks' money printing efforts. He does however think that tangible assets such as precious metals, land and fine art remain the best options available at the moment. In stark contrast, Casey is extremely downbeat on bonds and the US dollar. He thinks that given the incredible levels that bond prices have risen to as a result of panicked safe-haven buying by hedge funds, they represent an excellent shorting opportunity for speculators. Turk and Casey also discuss the opportunities to be had in mining shares, though Doug also points out the significant risks that mining companies face -- relating to political pressure from politicians and environmentalists. He says that investors need to be aware of these risks, but remains bullish on junior gold and silver producers. Casey and Turk also discuss whether or not technological advances will ever gold obsolete as a potential form of money and store of value. Casey points out that according to Aristotle's definition of good money, gold will always remain the best form of money. In his words: "gold is uniquely suitable for use as money ...

Collision (The Movie) - Christopher Hitchens vs. Douglas Wilson 1-9

Collision is a documentary film. released on October 27, 2009 featuring a debate between prominent atheist Christopher Hitchens and Douglas Wilson, Presbyterian pastor of Christ Church Moscow. Described by Hitchens as a "buddy-and-road" movie, it provides an overview of several days worth of debates following the release of their book Is Christianity Good for the World? The book was generated by correspondence published in Christianity Today. The partnership between Hitchens and Wilson began in 2007, when Hitchens invited anyone to debate his viewpoints following the release of his book God is not Great. Wilson's agent heard the offer and put him in touch with Wilson, leading to a series of written debates published in Christianity Today, which eventually were compiled into Is Christianity Good for the World? Filmmaker Darren Doane heard about the exchanges between the two and sought them out to make a film. The film was featured on CNN, Fox News; NPR ; the Laura Ingram show and others. After the men finally met in person while shooting the film, both got along well, despite the heated exchanges, in part from a shared appreciation for PG Wodehouse.
