Don't Be Afraid of The Dark Trailer [HD]

A creepy remake from producer Guillermo del Toro.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

Blackwood Manor has new tenants. While architect Alex Hurst and his new girlfriend Kim restore their Gothic mansion's period interiors, Alex's young daughter Sally—neglected by her real mother and brushed aside by the careerist father—can investigate the macabre history and dark corners of the estate. Spurring Sally's investigation are the voices—rasping whispers who call out to her from the basement, who promise her understanding and friendship, who are so very hungry and would like to be set free. When Sally gives in to her curiosity, she opens a gateway into a hellish underworld from which an army of beady-eyed, sharp-clawed monsters emerge, small in size but endless in number: the homunculi. Confronted with the horror that now threatens to taker her life and destroy her family, Sally desperately tries to warn the whole house, but there's just one problem: no one believes her. Will she make them understand in time, or will they become another chapter in the centuries-long horror story of Blackwood Manor? MPAA Rating: R Rated R for violence and terror. 2011 Miramax. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark 1973 Tribute

A heart felt tribute to one of the best TV Made films ever , do you remember it? please comment :) Possibly the scariest TV movie ever made Unbelievably creepy Intense, creepy, and terribly scary The most terrifying movie I have ever seen. You will never forget it if you see it! made-for-TV chiller gave nightmares to a generation of youthful TV-movie junkies. Sally Farnham (Darby) inherits a ramshackle mansion from her grandmother and moves in with her workaholic husband, Alex (Hutton). Worried that she's not a good enough corporate wife, Sally sets about redecorating the house in anticipation of an important business party Alex wants to throw. Sally discovers a small room she thinks would make a nice study and, ignoring the warnings of an elderly handyman (Demarest) who used to work for her grandmother, opens the room's bricked-up fireplace. Soon she's being troubled by strange phenomena: An ashtray flies off a night table as though it had been pushed; tiny, shadowy figures scuttle around the periphery of her vision; voices whisper her name in the dark. Alex pooh-poohs Sally's complaints, and accuses her of playing mind games: She's the one who wanted to move to this house — he would have preferred an apartment in a modern high rise — so why is she acting as though she wants to leave? Then, at the all-important party, Sally sees a frightening, wizened gremlin hiding in a floral arrangement. She realizes she's not imagining things: There are creatures in the house and ...
