5300 Homemade Dominoes
My brother Steve and I hand-cut and hand-painted 5292 wooden dominoes plus some bigger-sized blocks after efforts to find large amounts of professional quality toppling dominoes fell short. This is the result of about $100 worth of materials and a whole lot of man-hours. We were happy with the outcome. We tried several new stunts and although one of them failed to trigger, the course never needed to be restarted. Domino PCs: The Real Thing: 86 PCs in a row! The Original
The best thing to come from the Dot Com crash... Domino PCs! 86 PCs lined up like dominos. Filmed on a saturday afternoon in Belmont, California, by an Irish bloke and a Spanish guy. The final attempt.... Everything goes well but the heavy machines near the end almost put a halt to the whole thing... thankfully there was enough weight behind the toppled machines to slowly topple the heavy ones! Most of these PCs were then Given to charity or recycled as part of an overall hardware deal.
Brattleboro Domino Toppling 4 - 20825 Dominoes
This was their (Mike & Steve Perrucci) fourth year setting up dominoes at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, but that's not the only reason the number 4 is meaningful. That's how many domino topplers collaborated to create a giant, 20825 piece domino display! This year I was very fortunate to join Mike and Steve Perrucci (of Mikemazeguy) and Aidan (aka AP the Dominerd). We all worked together and brought our own individual parts to the display. A crew from local TV station WCAX also joined us the day of the topple. Reporter Gina Bullard interviewed all of us and put together a piece you can view at the link below. 60000 Dominos (Personal Record)
This is my personal record for most dominos used at once. Don't miss when I upload a new video...subscribe to my channel and follow me on facebook.com twitter.com In this chain reaction there are 60 big dominos each containing 990 dominos, and a small field of 600 dominos (which says 60000) to bring the total up to 60000 dominos used. The big dominos span about 14 feet across. It took approximately 65.5 hours to complete over 8 days. In the setup footage, the counter changes color on each day. The entire setup fell in approximately 12 seconds. The closest guesses I was able to spot in the comments on my preview video were by: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com If you pay close attention to the setup sequence, you can find one domino I built while wearing the wrong color shirt!! Oh no! After building this, I was able to count my remaining dominos and I have roughly 7700 left over. Guiness Domino
Most expensive ever Guinness advert features large-scale domino game. Directed by Nicolai Fuglsig of Sony Bravia 'Balls' fame, it is a celebration of community. The advert was shot on location in a remote side village called Iruya, in the Salta region of northern Argentina, with a population of around 1000 people. Biggest domino pyramid ever... almost

And don't forget to subscribe: www.youtube.com This would have been the biggest 3D domino pyramid on YouTube and very probably in the world (not a Guinness record though, they don't have such a category yet), with a bottom layer of 27x27 dominoes and 13482 pieces in total, but there seems to be some kind of Egyptian curse on domino pyramids. I didn't even make a mistake here, it toppled all by itself when it was more than 96% completed, with just 439 dominoes missing :-( So 13043 were standing when it toppled, which makes this my new personal domino record, beating the old one by almost 4500 pieces! It's the first time I have toppled more than 10000 dominoes, and more than the 11111 that made the first world record in 1974. Probably frequently asked questions: - This took about 30 hours of actual work, spread over five weeks. - I AM FINE. First, it would be much worse if I had actually messed it up -- but it wasn't my fault, as you can see in the video. Second, I've been a domino-builder for more than eleven years, so it's not the first time I have to cope with a project toppling too early. I wasn't even really sad, just dull. I was more frustrated when my video editing program (Magix VDL 15) crashed all the time while I tried to edit this video :-/ - Just for the few haters: I have a life... and you're not exactly ...

Inspiration for the video came from some of my favorite videos including the Sony Bravia balls, paint, and rabbits commercials; the Honda cog commercial; the Guinness 'Tipping Point' commercial; and all of FlippyCat's domino videos on YouTube. It was created by myself and two coworkers.
