I got the chalk i used on my hair from Michaels Crafts Store for $5.99 :) I used the Artist's Lofts Fundamentals Soft Pastels! (This is different than normal chalk or oil pastels) DIRECTIONS: Wet small section of hair Rub with wax pastel to get desired amount of color Let dry Set color with heat tool This lasted me one day! I read all three books (The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins), and I wanted to make my own Mockingjay pin like the one Madge gives to Katniss before she leaves to go to Capitol. Also, in the movie Katniss gives the Mockinjay pin to Primrose. I'm a huge hunger games fan & I can't wait to see the movie! MATERIALS______________________________ 1. Premo Gold Polymer Clay 2. Needle tool, or sewing needle 3. Ball Tool ( Purchased at Michael's) 4. Razor Blade 5. Glue 6. Liquid Clay (TLS - Translucent Liquid Sculpey) 7. Pin Back or Safety Pin (To attach the pin to) INSTRUCTIONS__________________________ 1. Condition your clay by warming it up and rolling it in your hands or using a pasta machine. 2. Roll out a strip of your gold clay and form a circle. Connect and seal the circle with liquid clay, and smooth the seam with a needle. 3. Start by shaping the body and the head. Pull and gently shape the beak by pulling it. 4. Create the curves of the body and smooth the edges with the needle tool. 5. Taking another piece of clay outline the shape of the tail, and attach it by smoothing the seams together with the needle tool. 6. Start forming the wing. The edges should be the thickest. 7. Create the wing details by using a ball tool. 8. Place the body and wing back in the circle to see if it fits. If it doesn't trim down the body and ...

I love the DIY results so much that I might do another pair =) Materials - Jeans (Mine are from Old Navy) - Fabric chalk (available at fabric stores, Target, etc...) - Scissors - Wood block (hardware or lumber stores can give you this for free =) - Tweezers - Sanding block (available at Target) - Razor - Sand paper Step 1: Wear jeans and mark above the knee cap & on upper thigh Step 2: Cut two small clean lines Step 3: Insert wood block Step 4: Gently fray the edges Step 5: Loosen and gently pluck out threads Step 6: Cut bluntly with razor blade to create a natural destroyed look Step 7: Trim excess threads Step 8 : Fray the edges & sand area to enlarge the opening Step 9 : Heavily sand thigh area and below the knees to create a more distressed look Thank you so much for watching! :: TWITTER :: twitter.com :: FACEBOOK :: facebook.com :: SONG :: Ooh La La - "Yeah People" www.myspace.com
