Finally re-recorded this with the new microphone. The new camera angle is because the old one was horrible to set up and take down, as it used a cymbal stand standing on my desk with a long pole attached to the top, and the webcam on the end. I do prefer the old angle, but I'm happy with this. It's a lot easier to set up, and I don't have to get the position perfectly right. I've decided to be a lot less of a perfectionist over these now, not that there are going to be many more. (Which I'll explain in a moment.) I find them really quite stressful to record as I make thousands of mistakes that I've never made before as soon as the camera is running. There are lots of cuts in this video, and plenty of mistakes I decided to leave in. But hey, I'm still happy with the result and it's a whole lot better than my original recording of this. So, the reason why there won't be many more. On the 6th of September I'll be leaving home, moving into a flat in the middle of Bournemouth for university. The piano is the second loudest unamplified instrument I can think of after the drums, so I really can't play it in a small flat in the middle of town. I do have a keyboard which I'll probably be bringing, but it's just one of those £60 keyboards everyone has when they're a kid. I can't even play most of my songs on it as there are too few keys. However. I shall be bringing my ukulele and my electric guitar. I can't really play either very well, but I'll get teaching myself and see what ...

Ludovico Einaudi played this piece at the Nightbook concert in Dublin in October 2009. It is the title track from his CD "Divenire" ("becoming"). Its origins are in the performance of a composition written for the festival "I suoni delle Dolomiti"(The Sounds of the Dolomites) in 2002. In an interview about the album, Einaudi said:"Since that experience I have done many other things, but have always thought that but have always thought that sooner or later I would develop the idea and expand it". Five years later we have the resulting Divenire, a work which brings together an orchestra (Royal Liverpool Philharmonic), cello (Marco Decimo), sound modifiers (Paulo Giudici) and piano by Einaudi himself. The work has been developed and introduced during his live performances, as Einaudi explains: "I was becoming bored with playing the same works in the same way...I began to play about with sequences I recorded at home, sound effects created on the computer...which I then included in my live performances" The live performances enabled the evolution of what has become a beautifully crafted album. The music, which embraces elements of classical music, electronic sounds and Ludovico's own distinctive piano is difficult to categorise, as the composer himself admits: "I wouldn't know. In some ways the classical music sections have something dead about them and are too tied to the past. I would prefer my niche among a varied selection, not pigeon-holed by a specific genre". So much Einaudi from me these days :) Ok so i wonder why i didn´t play this piece earlier. Afterall it´s one of Einaudi´s most popular ones. The intro made most problems somehow. Took me a while to get through it smoothly. I am pretty happy with this take, even though there are two tiny slip ups around the end. Resulting from that thought in my head: "No mistakes until here, i´m almost at the end. Don´t mess up now, Alex" Then: A mess up xD It´s always like that :) Again i have no idea if it´s played too fast or too slow compared to Einaudi´s recording, but somehow with his pieces i don´t think it matters much. It may sound cheesy, but as long as you play from your heart, it should be fine. At least that´s my opinion. Enough babbling xD Please enjoy, ~Alex

Ludovico Einaudi - Divenire - Rock Cover - by Set and Summanen
Divenire by Ludovico Einaudi is one of the best classical music pieces ever written if you would ask me. And therefor I couldn't help myself from recording some kind of cover or remake or something of it. And this is how it turned out. What I added on to the song was drums, guitar, bass and keyboard. All played/recorded and stuff by me. All of the drums were recorded in one long take. And since the piece is almost 7 minutes long without any kind of tempo track or anything, it gets out of tempo in a few places. I decided to record it and keep it as one long part to make it sound more real and live. Same goes with most parts of the other instruments I recorded as well. DIVENIRE (Becoming) - Trascendere l'esperienza e il controllo, verso il ricordo di Sè
Non siamo esseri umani in essere, ovvero in una condizione priva di crescita, siamo umani in divenire (humans becoming), ci stiamo evolvendo, o perlomeno abbiamo lopportunità di farlo se ci svincoliamo dalla programmazione degenerativa che permea le nostre vite. Divenire significa entrare nella spirale ascendente dellevoluzione. È un processo che per ogni individuo comporta esperienze diverse. Partendo dal processo di risveglio della consapevolezza, queste esperienze portano a scoprire chi e cosa siamo, a ricordare perché ci siamo incarnati su questo pianeta ed a prepararci a compiere la prossima transizione. Come ormai ben noto, la transizione cavalcherà londa del compimento dei diversi cicli galattici e planetari del 2012 che porteranno il ritmo vibratorio del pianeta ad un livello superiore. Il libro indica che oggi ci stiamo muovendo esattamente nella direzione opposta al divenire. In effetti, una società come la nostra dove aumentano le regole, e diminuisce lauto responsabilità, sembrerebbe un emblema di involuzione. Il messaggio preponderante, tuttavia, è positivo perché nel suo insieme potenzia lispirazione per la creazione del Nuovo Paradigma di esperienza. Oltre a diversi spunti nuovi, il testo ripete alcuni concetti già sviluppati nei messaggi precedenti. Oggi più che in passato le donne giocano un ruolo cruciale nell'evoluzione dell'umanità.
