We are, in fact, only one bad decision away from being one of them. DISCARDED is a feature-length no-holds barred investigation into the plight of the homeless. We took our cameras into shelters, back-alley's and under bridges to spend time with those reduced to the lowest common denominator of survival in America.

At Least 274 American Soldiers Remains Discarded In A Virginia Trash Dump
It is really at least 1700 remains of soldiers sent to the dump. Americans whether they agree with what the troops are being used for or not should respect those troops that legitimately care and died thinking they were defending you. The wars do not make you safer, Iraq and Afghanistan were not threats to America ... ever. Neither attacked you, ever. The wars do not defend America, they defend other countries, illegally under our LAW. They did not have large navies or fleets of long range bombers. They did not have delivery systems that could get anything here. Their nations were attacked looking for a boogie man, killing a million humans. The boogie man evidence still has not been presented ten years later, even after they supposedly killed him and the investigation is closed. Discarded Shoes Discovered
NANAIMO - A Vancouver Island truck driver is angry tonight after he found a dumpster full of brand new shoes outside a Nanaimo shopping centre. The shoes were from the retail outlet - Sportchek and have been deliberately cut and damaged so they can't be used. Scott Switzer is not usually a dumpster diver. But this morning while he was making a delivery at Woodgrove centre, this truck driver discovered something that angered him. Shoes - runners, sandals, hikers even cleats - brand new and thrown away in this dumpster - ready to be compacted. The shoes have been hacked up - deliberately cut so that the shoes wouldn't be good to anyone. A manager in Sportchek told us the shoes were mismatched singles, but Switzer found many pairs that didnt look mismatched to us. We don't know whether or not this is Sportchek's policy because we weren't able to reach anyone at their head office. But we did call around to a few other shoe stores around town and were told that mismatched shoes - usually get sent back to head office where they attempt to match them up and often distribute them to charities.

This video was discarded as trash by a neighbor. I pick it up and played it in my VCR and was amazed to the treasure it represents to us. Then I searched for information about the interpreter. Today I share it with you as part of our heritage. Not knowing the title I called it CONCERTO #2. According to my friend Peter from Holland, this is known as ASTURIAS by Isaac Albeniz. Other people know this as LEYENDAS. Andres Segovia was born on February 18, 1894 in the Andalusia city of Linares. He spent most of his life in Granada. His father wanted his son to be a lawyer, but, Andres was more interested in the love of his life, the Andalusia guitar. Yet he departed from the other famous Andalusia and Flamenco guitarist style and developed his own unique style that made him famous. He took many of the classical melodies and transformed them into a subtle murmur of his talented fingers and the strong vibrations of the Andalusia people. Is a mixture of the old and the new developed into a magical performance of strings and melodies. He disregarded the critics, especially at his teachers at the Granada Musical Institute where he studied the classics. He persisted in playing the guitar his own way. He died of a heart failure June 2, 1987 in Madrid, Spain. That day the world lost a genius.

Something I put together from a discarded documentary project. It used to be online until pulled for musical copyright issues last year. I'm putting it back up under the 'fair use' clause. This is also a homage to an excellent martial arts videographer, Andy Helm, who passed in 2007.
