my first dirtbike ride... CRASH
Thanks everyone for the views, it's a pretty insane amount seeing as how i'm not a professional stuntman. Here are a few things I can clear up: First, this was not done on purpose simply for entertainment. My friend had a bike, I had never ridden one before, so he brought it over for me to try. Second, the bike is a CRF450, so you guys can stop arguing over it. Third, yes that is a protective blazer I am wearing. Fourth, he didn't point me towards the mountanier on purpose, I actually walked the bike over there on my own, but it is apparent that was a pretty foolish mistake. Thanks again, and I particularly want to thank everyone for the "dumbass", "idiot", and "retard" comments, because the title clearly doesn't state that it was my first time. Oh, there really isn't a point in subscribing but maybe someday i'll do something really foolish again. Love you!

Kids on Mini Bikes - 50cc Dirt bike & Quad
Here's a short bit of footage of his first attempt at riding on two wheels. He's been riding a quad bike since he turned 6 but now he's 8 and a half and needed something a little taller. I got this from a store on ebay and their really cheap, something like 200 euro delivered and they are really well made. The engine is the same type you'll find in all the 47/49cc minimoto's although its the latest variation of it. it comes with a metal pull start, although i've never really had any problems with the plastic ones in the past. The pull start and the frame of the bike are coated in a crinkle finish paint thats supposed to be pretty good for rust protection, i'll see how that works out in a few months though. i like the tethered cut off cord but they should maybe include a velcro band with it so it can be attached to the childs wrist or something. mine just has a clip on the end and sometimes i dont have anywhere to clip it to on the little fella. Disc brakes front and rear are pretty good. they lock up well but they are cable brakes rather than hydraulic so they will get softer over time and need a little adjusting. The bike needs a little assembling straight out of the box but its nothing too serious really. Just dont bother with the "tool kit" they include with the bike. its the softest pile of shit ive ever come across. The rear wheel needed some adjusting before use as the chain was far too tight for it to move smoothly so that was the first task. Then there's aligning ...

New version with A123 lithium batteries. Bike is 50 lbs lighter and has 27% more energy than with sealed lead acid batteries. Gearing has been changed to allow 50 mph top speed. Plan for first tests in the dirt by mid-March 2009. 360 degree wheelie courtesy of co-developer Josh Bender. The bike is a 1997 CR125 converted to electric power. This is a self-funded project.

My shift gear was set incorrectly that day and I had a hard time upshifting so yes I was on the rev limiter. But those 4 stroke engines are bullet proof so no harm done at all.

riding down my favourite trail somewhere in southwest germany. some details of my bike 'cause i've been asked for: it's a votec v.dirt with 100mm rock shox argyle 409 fork, formula oro bianco 200/180 brakes, mavic deemax wheel-set and truvativ holzfeller parts. i used to ride maxxis minion 2,5 single ply tires, but switched to schwalbe muddy mary 2,5 fr because of more volume and better damping. this is my suggestion for a hardtail freeride bike that's able to do single trail rocking and big jumps : )
