Dimarzio Andy Timmons pickup Demo

A quick improv jam demoing the Dimarzio Andy Timmons pickup set I just threw in my Strat - two DP187 Cruiser bridge pickups in the neck and middle positions and an AT-1 Timmons in the bridge, with 500k pots. Amp was a Mesa Roadster into a Recto 2x12, first on Tweed of channel 1, 100 watts, and then Channel 3 Modern, 50 watts, both on tube rectification, in Spongy mode, with a SM57 a little over an inch off the grill and a Line6 DL4 delay in the loop for Channel 3, at little more than comfortable apartment volume. I couldn't understand why anyone would put anything other than a singlecoil in the neck position of a Strat for years, so I'm a little surprised to be saying this, but I'm really liking these so far. This is a little rough in places - I was trying to remember to switch pickups now and then to show a couple of the different tones available with this set. This song came about after an afternoon jamming along with Lyle Watt's "Slowdown," so if you like this you definitely should follow this link: www.youtube.com

DiMarzio Super Distortion Humbucker DP100 fitted to Tokai LS80 Les Paul - Matt Thorpe

I recently added the DiMarzio Super Distortion Humbucker DP100 pickup to the bridge position on my Made In Japan Tokai LS80 Love Rock Les Paul.It is recorded through a Line6 PODxt and direct to the video track. I've used DiMarzio SDHBs since about 1977. The one on my other Tokai LS150 was purchased then and has been moved onto various guitars over the years. There is something about the great tone and response of these pickups.

Yamaha Pacifica 812v mod v3 - DiMarzio Cruiser DP187, Seymour Duncan JB & Vintage Staggered

I did some mod on my beloved Pacifica, during time. Single coils are wonderful, but the pots for the humbucking made them really too spark for singles, and i've other strat so i'm not interested in mantain strat tones at any price. So i mount a DiMarzio Cruiser Bridge DP187 on the neck (a bit hotter than the neck version), and did a mod on the push pull selector so now it split the JB and put "bridge on" mod. I unsolder the autosplit of the JB when with middle single coil, because it make very interesting tone (maybe better than with the splitted one, even it plays less stratish). This make the guitar did 9 different tones, 5 original and 4 with splitted ever on JB (position 3 and 4 with this setting play just the same). Except for the Cruiser, is all stock components. Body is alder with maple top. PS you can ear well the 60hz hum when using single coils, because i'm in a front of my mac

Squire Strat pickups vs Dimarzio Fast Track 1's and FS-1

www.ThatGuitarShow.tv I got a cheap Squire just to knock around with. Thought I'd do a comparison between my Dimarzio loaded custom and this Squire. The Squire sounds more Strat like for certain but the Fast Track 1, is a great sounding pickup.

DiMarzio Pickups DP228 Crunch Lab Bridge - Tone Sample

The DP228 Crunch Lab, from DiMarzio pickups, John Petrucci's signature bridge wind. This particular one is with the bar magnet towards the neck. Played through a Peavey 6505+ and a Fulltone FD-2 MOSFET at some points. My opinions on this pickup: The DP228 Crunch Lab is midranged-voiced, tight, and aggressive, but still very sweet sounding and not at all harsh, which is unusual in a modern-output pickup. The voicing is most suited to metal and prog, but still can put together a great clean sound with the volume rolled back or split. Excellent lead sound but even better for tight rhythms. I don't know how it sounds with the bar towards the bridge, but for tighter rhythms it's recommended to have the bar facing the neck for downtuned metal. Guitar Signal: Ernie Ball Music Man Ball Family Reserve JPX -- Fulltone Fulldrive FD-2 MOSFET overdrive pedal --- Peavey 6505+ --- MXR KFK-1 10 Band Graphic Equalizer -- effects return. Annotation in lower right corner indicates when the pedals are used or bypassed.

DiMarzio Tone Zone, Chopper and Air Norton S - 44 Tone wiring Demo

Tone Zone (bridge), Chopper (middle), Air Norton S (nec) Jackson DK (HSS), made in Japan. ZOOM g9.2tt (used for USB recording). After ten years I decided to rescue my guitar from the closet and start to play again. The pickups Duncan Designed sounded really bad to my ears, so I decided to buy some DiMarzio ones. How do we choose them? YouTube! I found just a few videos, usually showing the guitar plugged to a huge rack or a specific amp. So I decided to share some crude sounds, so you can fell the real tone of these pickups. No extra effects, just a Jazz Chorus amp simulator. I made a circuit that allows me to mod each pickup individually to HB series, HB parallel, SC North and SC South and combine them using the 5 positions switch. There are 44 different tones, sometimes similar to other tones, but if you pay attention to the rhythm guitar and/or the solo guitar, you will notice they are all different. I hope I had provided some nice info. Thank you, Eddiemetal

My first mod on this guitar. I put a DiMarzio Evolution bridge, usining a 500k volume and a 250k tone pot for compensate.
