Ajahn Brahm: Dharma talk on loneliness
About five years ago I stumbled upon this monk's talks. How he speaks and teaches the pratical applications of Buddhism is what really brought me to this profound religion, a "religion" which I had earlier thought of as foreign and supersticious. I soon learned that the complete opposite was true, and to this day these very teachings help me through every aspect of my life... so, I thought I'd share this with everyone here in hopes that you might get something from it as well. :) This particular teaching by Ajahn Brahmavamso is on the subject of 'loneliness'. There are many, many more topics that he has spoken about and can be found on www.bswa.org -- as well as the talks of many other insightful teachers. The film is all about a dashing youth holding knife in his hand converts into a heart that is as soft as butter. Thanks to Sindhu Menon who throws a challenge to Dharma Darshan the ruffian to write a poem. In the process of writing a poem this deal master Dharma softens from nefarious activities. He falls in love with Kavya but he is forced to take up a murder that he has not done. In prison with colorful costumes Dharma meets yet another beautiful lass and she is the daughter of a law minister. In exchange of Dharma�s love the deal is fixed between Sindhu Menon and Manisha. For the release of hero Dharma Sindhu Menon should walk out from his life. While this is the usual happening the surprise factor is that Dharma gets a clue to the murderer of MLA Rajanna. Dharma out from the prison on bail is now in the company of Manisha but he has two dangers ahead. Manisha�s father � law minister has some one from aristocratic family as bridegroom for his daughter. But at the same time the law minister is also in danger from Dharma.

Season 2, Ep 10: Yes, We Have No Bananas (or Anything Else for That Matter) A gently surreal episode whose humor derives from escalating skewed logic in the Preston Sturges mode: Greg's hostile secretary Marlene (at last the wonderful Yeardley Smith returns!) is offended by her annual staff evaluation as "Satisfactory," while Greg is overjoyed by his "Superior" rating until he learns Pete got the same rating. When Greg confronts his boss, he is driven to desperation by the man's apparent complete inability to discriminate between similar items (Tahiti vs. Buffalo as a honeymoon destination, freshly baked bread vs. moldy supermarket bread), and almost unhinged by the boss's decision to put Pete in charge while he is in medical leave. At the same time Greg must deal with Dharma's impulse decision to open a store without first deciding what she will sell, and the fact that the place quickly becomes packed with people who find Dharma's environment strangely soothing and establish a barter economy amongst themselves. There is of course only one "logical" conclusion: despite the fact that Dharma is losing money, she makes a profit when she is bought out by Starbucks. (We leave her contemplating a "drive-through" version of her non-store.) Meanwhile, Larry tries to persuade Edward to buy a drug-running friend's power yacht, and the four-in laws find themselves held prisoner by an aggressive sea lion who climbs on board and won't leave.
