UFO Almost Hits Jet Near Denver
An unidentified flying object over Denver on Monday has aviation experts scratching their heads. As first reported by 9News, the object did not appear on radar in the area, but nearly collided with a private jet at 8000 feet above Cherry Creek. In an audio recording from the jet cockpit, provided by LiveATC.net, a pilot can be heard telling air traffic officials, "[I] don't know if it was a remote controlled aircraft or what, but something just went by the other way. The corporate jet, a Cessna Citation 525 CJ1, was flying at 8000 feet above sea level over Cherry Creek when the mystery object came close enough to make any pilot nervous. UFO Over Denver, Conflicting Reports - March 29, 2012
"HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO - Suha and Mike Owens took video Wednesday night from their home in Highlands Ranch. It shows a light in the sky that appears to change colors, and it moves left and right, up and down. "Is it somebody's toy or is it a UFO?" Suha Owens says in the video. 9NEWS received several calls and emails Wednesday around 8:45 pm from viewers, all reporting a bright light in the western sky. 9NEWS spoke with Chris Peterson, a researcher at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Cloudbait Observatory, about the light. Peterson looked at Owens' video. He says what they captured was most likely a reflective balloon blowing around or possibly a helicopter or some other aircraft. Peterson says what the Owens saw was not the same as other reports he received. From several cameras, he captured a meteor passing over the Grand Junction-Delta area around 8:45 pm Wednesday. The meteor came relatively close to Earth, about 30 miles above the ground. Peterson says it only lit up the sky for a few seconds, unlike the Owens' video, and the meteor was likely the size of a golf ball. From the Front Range looking west, it looked large, but the view from the Western Slope, he says, was even better. "I do have witness reports from people out there, and they saw something much more impressive than what the Front Range people saw," Peterson said. I have always dreamed of going to Amsterdam for the Cannabis Cup, but now the Cannabis Cup has come to me instead. We went to Denver for the Cannabis Cup and we had a great time. We met some really cool people ran into old friends and got to smoke with some famous people too. Everyone was having a great time celebrating Medical Marijuana and the amazing industry that supports the patients that need cannabis to live their lives. I hope that you get a good sense of what it was like to be there. It wasn't as big as I thought, but there was still a lot of people. The music was really loud in the medical building so it was kind of hard to talk and meet more people. We were comfortable smoking anywhere and I was never paranoid or worried I was being watched. It was absolutely wonderful to have the freedom to smoke with this many people. I wish that everyone will soon have the same freedom. This was an amazing way to cap off our 4/20 vacation. "The FAA says it has reviewed radar and audio recordings from the time of a near mid-air collision on Monday evening and haven't found what it calls unidentified targets. As 9Wants to Know reported Tuesday night, a pilot of a corporate jet reported to air traffic control that the mysterious object caught his eye while flying 8000 feet over Cherry Creek. The mystery object did not show up on radar. The FAA says it is still looking into the matter. Earlier on Wednesday, a local sheriff's office said Wednesday it may have an explanation for the mysterious object. The Adams County Sheriff's Office says deputies found a 14-foot solar bag Tuesday around noon. It's basically a weather balloon that looks like a long, black pool noodle. We went to the park in Denver to smoke out with a few thousand people. There is always a celebration of Marijuana on 4/20 and everyone gets together at 4:20 to smoke together. We hung out with our friend Garrett who brought a Magar which is a marijuana cigar. It's like a blunt, but rolled in cannabis leaves rather than tobacco. On May 20th 2012, the kids from Children Medieval Band played live as an opening act for the Rammstein show. It was a great audience. The kids performed very well. If we consider their lack of experience on stage, the numerous audience, and also the sound which was very different from what they got used to, their performance was a great A+. This video doesn't reflect well the quality of the show, but we post it anyway. The woman, who nearly made it to the 3-point line from her courtside seat, apparently has some alleged history with the Denver Nuggets before.
