The ZZYZZX - The ZZYZZX (What Is It?)

bit.ly The ZZYZZX "The ZZYZZX (What Is It?)" Directed by: Mellow Man Ace Produced by: Big Tango Slimm I-Conik Wun Pictures The Zzyzzx pronounced: (Ziz-ix), is on the verge of opening up the culture of hip-hop to another generation of avid fans. The word Zzyzzx can't be found in the Webster's dictionary, but it can be found on the side of the road as you travel from LA to Las Vegas. It's the name of a town in Nevada. The word may not have a "official" definition, but to the group it means everything good or bad, black or white, the up, the down, the yin and yang, the him, the her, and basically everything under the sun which has an opposite, hence the father, the son. The name itself allows them to think out of the box at all times and without limits. The group consists of Ulpiano Reyes (Mellow Man Ace) and his fifteen year old son/ producer Ulpiano Cuba Reyes (Cazal Organism). Mellow Man Ace is known around the world for being the first platinum selling "Latino" rap artist with his #1 hit Mentirosa. Over the years since his earlier success, he's been able to transfer his knowledge and wisdom of the industry to his son, Cazal. Cazal maybe only 15, but is on his way to blazing his own path in the same way as his father. He's already produced songs for Masta Ace, Dres of "Black Sheep", Mike G of "The Jungle Brothers" and of course his legendary father. His dad still remembers one of his first studio sessions during the Cypress Hill recording of their Spanish album Los ...

Tortured Soul - Fall In Love

www.deliciousvinyl.com In the spring of 2001, drummer John-Christian Urich, keyboardist Ethan White, and bassist JKriv got together in Urich's basement studio, set up their instruments, and hit record. They were inspired by a simple yet adventurous idea -- that modern dance music could be performed completely live. From this impromptu Brooklyn jam session the Tortured Soul sound was born; a blend of soulful song-writing, skillful production, and raw live energy. Since then the trio has blazed a revolutionary trail through dance clubs and live venues around the world, garnering the praise of DJ's, producers and multitudes of fans alike, who have witnessed the power of the Tortured Soul concept: Live Soulful House. The Wascals - Class Clown

www.deliciousvinyl.com The Wascals 'Greatest Hits' Some treasures are too good to stay buried. The Wascals' previously-unreleased, formerly-shelved and certainly never-heard 1993 album 'Greatest Hits' has now been dug up from the depths of the Delicious Vinyl vaults and delivered straight to your dome. Ww-wait, you say...ww-who? The Wascals. Bucwheed, Spit-Anky, Alphie and St Imey. Friends who came together dancing and rhyming on LA's early '90s club scene. The Wascals, whose debut album was so clearly destined to be Delicious Vinyl's next sure-shot smash that they titled it Greatest Hits. The group who earned the deserved rep as a "baby Pharcyde." The parallels between The Pharcyde and The Wascals were clear. Both were four member groups with complementary rhymes styles, hella harmonies, and pockets fulla punchlines. Just like the Pharcyde had their legendary dwelling Pharcyde Manor, the Walcals had Wascals Castle, a Hollywood home where all four members co-habitated and created. And, crucially, both had producer J-Swift behind them. Fresh off the success of The Pharcyde's debut Bizarre Ride II Tha Pharcyde, J-Swift went directly into the studio to create more syncopated psychedelic soundbeds (you know, the stuff that made him one of rap's hot iconoclasts of the period) for The Wascals. Even with J-Swift's presence in the producer's chair, however, The Wascals were a legit group, not a svengali's concoction. One listen to Greatest Hits assures you of the group's natural ...

Pharcyde - Runnin' (Prod. By J Dilla)

From 1995 Album: "Labcabincalifornia" © Delicious Vinyl Records..... Delicious Vinyl: www.deliciousvinyl.com Get The Music: www.amazon.com & itunes.apple.com 'An influential alternative rap quartet from South Central Los Angeles, the Pharcyde was formed by MCs/producers Tre "Slimkid" Hardson, Derrick "Fatlip" Stewart, Imani Wilcox, and Romye "Booty Brown" Robinson. Hardson, Wilcox, and Robinson were all dancers and choreographers who met on the LA underground club circuit in the late '80s, worked together for a while, and served a stint as dancers on In Living Color. Stewart, meanwhile, performed at local clubs and eventually hooked up with the others in 1990. Under the tutelage of Reggie Andrews, a local high-school music teacher, the group learned about the music industry and the process of recording an album. They landed a deal with Delicious Vinyl in 1991, and a year later released their eccentric debut album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde, which went gold. After support slots for De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest as well as a successful spot on Lollapalooza's second stage in 1994, the group released its second album, Labcabincalifornia, which was calmer than their first but no less warped.''
