Executive Decision
A 747 travelling from Athens to Washington DC is hijaked by a group of terrorists. They claim it's to force the government to release their leader, but covert intelligence man David Grant doesn't believe it. He tries to persuade the authorities to keep the plane out of US airspace while a rescue mission is put together. This mission involves the use of a high tech plane specifically designed for mid-air crew transfers. With Grant, they make it aboard the 747 only to find that they must overpower the terrorists and disable a bomb with enough nerve gas to knock out all of Washington DC below. This will just be a bad memory in the mean time. So yeah reasons I hate this so much looking back: Word choice was weird, out of synch, lacked impact, some color gradients look terrible, and overall a lazy edit. Story: Pretty straightforward. Starts off analogous to the original plot with Aizen stating how useless it is to oppose him. However, this eventually gets to Ichigo to the point where he's completely overcome by fear. So he must search from within and rid himself of doubt. One thing I didn't emphasize at all is Ichigo's fear of death. So it's ironic in a way that using the final getsuga tensho will rob him of his life. In the end he makes the DECISION (those 20 manga chapters must have been called that for something) to protect everyone by killing Aizen, thus ending his own life as well. *EDIT* The last chapters are actually called Deicide. The film depicts a simulated war plan action, in the event of an attack, which was executed at the Operation Control Room, Offutt Air Force Vase, Nebraska, and at the underground control room (location still classified), by the Strategic Air Command. Footage includes pilots and ground crewmen scrambling; pilots boarding aircraft; B-47's, B-52's, and B-58's taxiing, taking off, maneuvering, and landing; and a KC-135 refueling a B-52. Also included are scenes of the launching of the Bull Goose, Rascal, Snark, and Thor missiles.
