My Son Is Deaf, Finally! (Subtitled)

My Son Is Deaf, Finally! Four years later after a hearing son of deaf parents was born, the time was right. His parents felt ready to explore the option and made the decision to go ahead with surgery for him in Brazil. Last week, he had his hearing inactivated indefinitely by removing both cochleae from the ears. He became profoundly deaf like his parents. They have been immensely blessed with the choice they made. JOEY BELL JR: THE NEXT DEAF UFC FIGHTER? FIGHTER'S VIDEO PROFILE

Joe Bell Jr is my childhood and best friend of 23 years. Growing up with him and his family who are deaf was always a bowl of cherries and we always had a great time. We used to workout together before but I stopped a few years ago and he continued as his goal was to be a bodybuilder but he realized the risk of abusing his body with steroids (he never took them) and the amount of working out to be done he started to train MMA in the last 2 years or so after Matt Hamill inspired him. (He also met him as well and said he was a great guy with a big heart) So, he asked me to go to the gym with him to make a video profile for him to gain him some exposure as we all know Youtube is the place to be where dreams can come true. I am also promoting Mady's Karate school as it was only fair as Albert allowed me to video Joe and his gym so if you are from the Windsor area and are interested in MMA, judo, karate you name it, Mady's is definitely the place to go. After all he was the 1st Canadian to be inducted into the Karate Hall of Fame. Thanks for watching the video and hope you enjoyed it as well as I enjoyed shooting and editing it. Technology assures deaf student learns surgery at UC Davis School of Medicine

Amanda Mooneyham has a 90 decibel hearing loss in both ears, which is considered profound. She can read lips and, with the help of hearing aids, can hear speech as long as the words are spoken clearly and in her direction. In a hospital operating room, where physicians are more apt to mumble than use complete sentences and where everyone wears masks and directs their attention toward the patient, Mooneyham faced a frustrating — if not entirely ineffective — surgical learning experience. Using tablet technology to link the sounds in the operating room to an off-site medical transcriptionist, Mooneyham is able to "listen" — in real time — to every word uttered by the surgeon performing the operation.

Gazan NGO helps deaf people find work

A non-profit organization in the Gaza strip is offering deaf children health care, social services, education and work opportunities in a bid to improve their lives and integrate them into society. Atfaluna Society for Deaf Children, established in 1992, currently has 300 students attending classes from nursery up to high school. Wala Ziyadeh, a teacher at the school, teaches deaf children to read and write. She says that such skills will allow them to integrate better into their social surrounding by earning a living and contributing to society instead of being considered as outcasts, especially in a country where it is considered increasingly harder to find a job. "I am really happy because my friends and the students who grew up with me are here, and because I am at an organization that is supporting me to develop my skills as teacher for the deaf," she said. The organization launched in January 2012 a four-year undertaking, termed Income Generation Program - in a bid to reach out to young deaf people seeking to improve their lives. "The message of the organization is to transform the (idea of a) disability into a gift by helping its students be able to carry out different activities that teach them and integrate them in the society, and by preparing them to inter the job market and find employment," said organizer director Sharhabil al-Zaeim. The main goals of the project are to encourage older students to undertake vocational training in the culinary arts and deaf ...

How To Wake a Deaf Cat

The reason I pat the floor instead of pet him is because if I touch him while he is sleeping it really frightens him. I've learned to always wake him with vibrations instead... he still meows because he is startled, but it is better than being scared and skittish! Also, if he wakes up and I am not in the room he howls... which is why I normally try to let him know when I am leaving the room :) Subscribe to my beauty channel for beauty, fashion, and decor videos: www.youtube.com For your daily bit of glitter: www.elleandblair.com The Whimsical Land www.girlinawhimsicalland.tumblr.com Follow me on twitter! http Like my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com Get all my videos on Facebook now! beauty channel: www.facebook.com vlog channel: www.facebook.com Shop my store! www.shopglitzyglam.com Shop Cellairis for all cell phone cases designed by me and Blair! https Disclaimer: Not sponsored.

聾啞劍- Deaf and Mute Heroine (1971)

First ~20 min. German, rest is Mandarin, and English, Turkish Subtitles in CC Chinese; Long ya jian ..... Director; Wu Ma Cast; Helen Ma Hoi-Lun, Tang Ching, Shirley Wong Sa-Lee, Yeung Wai, Wu Ma * There are some rubs in video, but it is still relativly quite watch-able, and relativly best copy in free ! ^_^ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLOT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A rhythmic hypnotic drumbeat cascades over the solitary female character silhouetted against the blood red background. The pace of the drumbeat is quickened as she is surrounded by a large group of men with deadly intentions. Her sword is raised above her head in cutting edge readiness as the men circle around her looking for an opportunity for a quick strike, for a quick kill, for a quick reward. They attack - one by one, two by two - in a fierce rush, in a cacophony of sound - the woman becomes a quick silver flashing and spinning instrument of death - her sword swirling and slicing - everywhere - then the men draw back - many of them left on the ground with the stillness of death hovering above them. They catch their breath and attack again - and again - each time to be driven off - with more lifeless forms covering the ground like piles of leaves on a late autumn day. One left and a geyser of blood signals his demise. The woman is alone once more - only kept company by the ghosts of the mass of slain men around her. The drums continue - but she doesn't hear them; she is silent because she cannot speak - she is the Deaf Mute ...
