There were several bits of the buildings that weren't seen in his video that can be seen here over a year later. It started life as an Ironworks in 1840 but as the times changed it was uneconomical to keep open and was closed in 1921. It was then used as a brickworks and for coal mining used all the way up to 1988 when the last brick was produced. Coal is still mined roughly a mile away from the original site. One of the buildings on site is an A listed building which is a rarity for an industrial site such as this. A video of the trains from Dunaskin will be coming soon.
