D'Andrea - Boring And Turning System: USE YOUR HEAD
D'Andrea has been developing increasingly effective technologies since 1951 when its founder, Marino D'Andrea, begins the activity with the adjustment of the first boring and facing head, with manual feed. In 1975 U-TRONIC, medium and large-sized NC heads for boring machines were created. In the '80s D'Andrea strengthened its position on the worldwide market NC U-CENTER heads for machining centres were created. More than 60% of U-CENTER production heads reached the United States. In the '90s with the launch of MODULHARD'ANDREA, TOPRUN, AUTORADIAL, MONO'd, MONOFORCE, TA-CENTER, TA-TRONIC AND U-COMAX the company revenues began an exponential growth trend. Chris Evert d. Andrea Jaeger - 1982 US Open SF
A very competitive match despite an unkind scoreline of 6-1 6-2, this 1982 US Open semifinal was played right at the midpoint of an astounding TEN meetings between Evert & Jaeger that year. Chris evened the '82 head to head 3-all with this win. Suffice to say, she didn't lose to Andrea again in the meetings that followed that year, or ever again in fact. Another oddity of note regarding this match is that an early point is played where Jaeger falls down and Chris is so distracted, she misses the shot off the side of her racket. This phenomenon does not occur again in any point for years to come!

Intelligent Robotic Device "The Robotic Chair"in the short film Robotic Chair by Peter Lynch. Raffaello D'Andrea, an associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Cornell University, has created a chair in conjunction with Canadian artist Max Dean that can crumple itself into a disjointed pile of wood and then reassemble itself. Dean came up with the vision and D'Andrea, who advises the university's robot teams, designed it. Another Canadian artist and a former student of D'Andrea's then helped them build it. "It has no utilitarian value," D'Andrea said in a prepared statement. "It is an art piece." The chair contains 14 motors, two gearboxes and other parts.
