Ted in preparation for shipment to our lab... One of our most interesting discovery to date is the unidentified remains of what appears to be a juvenile unicorn... The mummified remains were discovered in a vintage, wood case (glass cover remove for documentation) and are 28cm by 16cm with spiral horns protruding from the head and snout regions... Main Show Only - Cryptozoological Creatures
Researcher Nick Redfern spoke about a variety of cryptozoological creatures including chupacabras, Mothman, Bigfoot and werewolves. He investigated the spate of chupacabras sightings that took place in Puerto Rico in the mid-1990s, in which a creature that sucked the blood of livestock was said to have a monkey-like face, red glowing eyes, talon-like claws, and leathery wings. Black triangle sightings, 'Men in Black,' government personnel and the vicious chupacabras attacks were possibly all connected, he detailed. He learned through interviews of locals that the chupacabra incidents of the 90s were predated by similar attacks several decades earlier-- a vampire-like creature was reportedly seen in Puerto Rico's El Yunque rain-forest. In Texas, Redfern has collected numerous reports of anomalous winged creatures, including Mothman-type beings-- humanoid creatures with large wings. He's also looked into tales of werewolves. Rather than humans metamorphosing into wolves, accounts suggest large monstrous wolves that can walk on either two or four legs. They may have a paranormal aspect to them, with the ability to materialize and vanish, he added. Main Show Only - Cryptozoology
Researcher, author and artist, Rob Morphy, shared some of the cryptozoological sightings and data, which are gathered together on the American Monsters(1) site. He reacted to a recent report(2) from China, about an unknown carcass that washed ashore. He believes it fits the description of a Trunko(3), a hairy, elephant-sized animal with a crocodile-type head and lobster-styled tail. Morphy also discussed his expedition to South Africa, where he was warned away from the "African Brain Sucker," as he traveled near a river. A local told him the creature allegedly was capable of holding people down underwater and then sucking out their brains using its huge mosquito-like proboscis. Agreeing with late cryptozoologist Grover Krantz, Morphy said it can be necessary to kill one of an unknown species in order to prove its existence.
