OWS gather steam from nationwide protest cop crackdown
Hundreds of arrests, accusations of police brutality and dozens of injuries - this is how the 'Occupy' movement in the US marked its two-month anniversary this week. Officers in riot gear tore down camps and broke up mostly peaceful demos against the unequal distribution of wealth in major American cities. At the heart of the campaign, in New York, a crowd of activists took to the subway and tried to block off the Stock Exchange. Evidence has been emerging of disproportionate police action in response to the rallies. At the University of California, a group of students staging a sit-down protest were pepper-sprayed in the face. In an earlier incident, an officer was filmed beating an Iraq war veteran so hard he suffered a ruptured spleen, although he seemed to pose no threat. City Glider (10G) - Wingsuit glide through the airspace of all islands in Pacific City without touching down. Achievement pops at 4:23 This is kind of a long video, because it's just me gliding around. FAQ: ------ Q: How do you get the wingsuit? A: Max your agility to level 5. Collect a lot of green orbs (about 275-300) Q: How do you stay in filght? A: Tilt down until you see the red airstreams then tilt back up. Q: Where do you get the rubber ducky explosives? A: You get them at the carnival, the place with the giant ferris wheel. You have to beat the Cell stronghold to establish and Agency stronghold there. Wall Street Crackdown: Police beat back protesters, dozens arrested
Police in the US have been filmed beating back protesters at a mass demonstration in New York, in the biggest event yet in the three-week-long rally called 'Occupy Wall Street'. Police Arrest 73 in Occupy Wall Street Crackdown As Protesters Mark Six Months of Uprising
democracynow.org - Michael Moore led hundreds of people from the Left Forum conference to Zuccotti Park on Saturday where hundreds had gathered to re-occupy the park to mark six months since the launch of the Occupy Wall Street movement, which began last September and launched protests around the world that gave voice to "the 99 percent." That night, New York City police officers cleared the park making at least 73 arrests. Many people reported excessive use of force by officers, several cases were caught on camera. In one widely reported incident, a young woman suffered a seizure after she was pulled from the crowd and arrested. Witnesses say police initially ignored Cecily McMillan as she flopped about on the sidewalk with her hands zip-tied behind her back, but she was eventually taken away in an ambulance. CIA won't disclose involvement in crackdowns on #OWS
The Occupy Wall Street movement has experienced severe crackdowns nationwide. Many of the occupiers suspect the CIA has been aiding local law enforcement to try to thwart the movement. The Partnership for Civil Justice filed a Freedom of Information Act request to try to see if the CIA was involved in the OWS crackdowns, but the PCJF was denied the information. Classic Game Room HD reviews CRACKDOWN 2 for Xbox 360. Crackdown 2 is the Xbox 360 exclusive sequel to the popular Crackdown, a GTA meets comic book style action game where you play an Agent bringing the law to Pacific City! This time around evil has reared its ugly head once again and freaks and a new gang roam the streets for blood. But is all as it seems? While Crackdown 2 is entertaining, well made and fun it doesn't do much seperate itself from the original game. Pacific City is in ruins but it's still basically the same place and the addition of night dwelling zombie like freaks doesn't do much to spice it up. The combat, new toys and multiplayer ehancements help but Crackdown 2 feels like an expansion pack rather than a new game. Fans of the original may expect more but can't argue that Crackdown 2 brings more crack down on the Xbox 360 with explosions, carnage and mayhem. Excellent controls and the awesome narrator make Crackdown 2 a joy to play and the addictive orb collecting / agent leveling up aspect to the game returns as well. Crackdown 2 may fall short of the hype but still delivers solid gameplay and a sold single player campaign (as well as multiplayer). Pebble Dash (10G) - From the top of full-height Agency Tower, leap into the chimney stack and live to tell the tale. The achievement did not pop for me in the video, because I had already gotten it. FAQ: ------ Q: How come my Agency Tower isn't that tall? A: You need to progress in the game's core objectives some more. Q: How can I get the to the chopper? A: You might have to upgrade your agility some more to be able to get it. You can try climbing the agency tower the traditional way. (I always used the helicopter) Q: How come I died when hitting the toilet water? A: I did too the first time, but I still got the achievement.
