I have had quite a few people ask me just exactly how I get into a 10ft Transformers Optimus Prime costume. I figured I should upload this video and let everyone see. Due to the size of the Optimus Prime costume, I sometimes feel like a scarecrow trapped in an Autobot. The Optimus Prime costume is not incredibly comfortable to wear, but the reaction on the faces of people in the crowd is well worth it.

Street Fighter: Legacy - Costume Design
'Street Fighter-Legacy' a Streetlight Films production, co-directed by Joey Ansah and Owen Trevor, produced by Jacqueline Quella and stars Jon Foo as Ryu and Christian Howard as Ken. 'StreetFighter-Legacy' a liveaction short film fan project, based on the popular Capcom gaming franchise: Street Fighter. Officially endorsed by Capcom StreetFighter Legacy has been a labour of love and passion project for its creator, Joey Ansah, who not only conceived and pitched the project, but also co-directed, co-wrote and choreographed it, alongside cameo'ing in the film. Collaborating, creative partner and long time friend Christian Howard was part of the project from day one, co-writing the script and story elements, as well as further down the line, storyboarding the film, being assistant fight choreographer and most importantly playing Ken Masters. Streetlight repped Australian Director Owen Trevor came onboard to co-direct the film. His experience and style carried forward from shooting on 3 series of the acclaimed 'Top Gear' have really been an asset to the project and given it a strong visual flair.

Dog AT AT Costume
I made this for my Mini-Pinscher for Halloween as he has about the same size and profile as an AT-AT. It is made out of picture backing board, hot glue, a sharpie, pillow stuffing, and my skin (I used a real scalpel to cut it out, plus the hot glue took a chunk of my skin off as well).

Awesome Homemade Costume
My daughter and I made this out of duct tape, cardboard, and wire hangers. The mask is an old Freddy Kruger mask we had lying around, and the jumpsuit I bought at a thrift store for $5. She fits through a hole in the box, and her legs are in the pant legs of the jumpsuit.I cut down the front of each leg, and attached Velcro to reclose them around her legs to make it easer to put on. I cut and shaped hangers in an arch shape and seperated them with strips of cardboard held together with ducttape. I attached them to the box like shoulder straps. The jumpsuit fits over these to make the shoulders. The rubber mask has a balloon inside to hold it up. At first I tried to stuff the whole thing with paper and bubble wrap, but it was too heavy. The whole thing is held together with 2 rolls of ducttape, but it is all very well hidden inside the costume. She didn't need to carry anything to put candy in, they just threw it in the box! She was the center of attention all night. People were taking pictures of her, and wanting there pictures made with her. She said she felt like she was famous for a few hours. Including the duct tape, the whole thing was about $15, and took 4 days to complete.

4 Legged Stilt Costumes - Handmade
READ BELOW FOR MATERIAL INFO TO MAKE COSTUME!!! We made 4 legged stilt costumes for halloween. We call them stilt spirits for lack of a better name. Mine has extra large medical crutches on the arms which make it really great for your back. Very comfy! Circus peg stilts for the legs (custom made by thespinsterz.com). Garen used dry wall stilts for his legs. They are mainly made of upholstery foam (it comes in a big roll for chair cushions) and fabric. Surprisingly easy to make. We were inspired by the Frouds who made the Landstriders in the Dark Crystal. They have seen them in person and love them! We were also inspired by Miyazaki. Feel free to ask any questions if you're making a similar costume and need advice. Video belongs to me. Music is "The Ghost Inside" which belongs to Broken Bells. Great song.

Garrus Vakarian Mass Effect 2 Costume
Thank you all for the great comments! I made this costume from scratch based on the Mass Effect 2 character Garrus before he takes the rocket to his face. I will have more pictures posted on my website mywickedarmor.com in the near future. And yes, I plan to make more of these. Contact me through my website (not YouTube) if you are interested. This Garrus project was a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. The costume has at least 75 LED's on/in it! But the lighting is one of the things that attracted me to this costume. I especially enjoyed the eye gear. Photos and videos just do not capture how neat the eye piece looks. I think the whole costume requires nine 9V batteries if you want the lights to work for a few hours. Fortunately, the armor is very lightweight, including the massive chest piece which I designed to split into two pieces for shipping and transport. And I am aware that Garrus does not have a tail- I just forgot to attach the butt plate strap before the video. A few people have asked how long it took to make. That's hard to say since I worked on it in spurts. I am a quick sculptor, but there was a lot of time involved in moldmaking, paint, and assembly. The work was done over the span of a few months. Some people have asked about the comfort of the feet. I would imagine it's just like walking around in high heels, but it's not quite as steep as it looks. There is some illusion involved.
