This is kind of a hard Elvis song to find on video. It's a bit old school but great sound quality. Elvis is still the greatest song writer of all time.

Veronica Elvis Costello
Lyrics: Veronica Is it all in that pretty little head of yours? What goes on in that place in the dark? Well I used to know a girl and I could have sworn that her name was Veronica Well she used to have a carefree mind of her own and a delicate look in her eye These days I'm afraid she's not even sure if her name is Veronica Chorus: Do you suppose, that waiting hands on eyes, Veronica has gone to hide? and all the time she laughs at those who shout her name and steal her clothes. Veronica, Veronica, Veronica Did the days drag by? Did the favours wane? Did he roam down the town all the while? did you wake from your dream, with a wolf at the door, reaching out for Veronica Well it was all of sixty-five years ago When the world was the street where she lived And a young man sailed on a ship in the sea With a picture of Veronica On the "Empress of India" And as she closed her eyes upon the world and picked upon the bones of last week's news She spoke his name out loud again Chorus: Do you suppose, that waiting hands on eyes, Veronica has gone to hide? and all the time she laughs at those who shout her name and steal her clothes. Veronica, Veronica, Veronica Veronica sits in her favorite chair She sits very quiet and still And they call her a name that they never get right and if they don't then nobody else will But she used to have a carefree mind of her own with a devilish look in her eye saying you can call me anything you like but my name is Veronica Chorus: Do you suppose ...

I Do not own this song or picture. Switched at Birth is ABC Family property Lyrics: Stranger I've known you for so long I found you lost with a compass in the fog Stranger you know me too much Illusionary-self had not be touched, until you Humming Hallelujah in the dark Whispered poems leave you to be Humming Hallelujah in the night The sun might rise, as sometimes does it fall Hallelujah, hallelujah Stranger you've followed me so far Until the roads converged, as did the stars Stranger the moon looks blue tonight Your photo framed, raw within my mind, but not tonight Humming Hallelujah in the dark Whispered poems leave you to be Humming Hallelujah in the night The sun might rise, as sometimes does it fall Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah Humming Hallelujah in the dark Whispered poems leave you to be Humming Hallelujah in the night The sun might rise, as sometimes does it fall Hallelujah
Elvis Costello - A Good Year For The Roses
I can hardly bear the sight of lipstick On the cigarettes there in the ashtray Lyin' cold the way you left 'em But at least your lips caressed them while you packed Or the lip-print on a half-filled cup of coffee That you poured and didn't drink But at least you thought you wanted it that's so much more than I can say for me What a good year for the roses Many blooms still linger there The lawn could stand another mowin' Funny I don't even care As you turn to walk away As the door behind you closes The only thing I have to say It's been a good year for the roses After three full years of marriage It's the first time that you haven't made the bed I guess the reason we're not talkin' There's so little left to say we haven't said While a million thoughts go racin' through my mind I find I haven't said a word From the bedroom the familiar sound Of one baby's cryin' goes unheard What a good year for the roses Many blooms still linger there The lawn could stand another mowin' Funny I don't even care As you turn to walk away As the door behind you closes The only thing I have to say It's been a good year for the roses
Elvis Costello - Watching the Detectives (song & lyrics)
Music:ELVIS COSTELLO & THE ATTRACTIONS Permissions: UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP (umusic.com) If you are following T.Tuthill/Kinneas. Now owner/operator of Trekradio dot com. Trek...but more than that. "Watching the Detectives" is a 1977 single by English singer-songwriter Elvis Costello. It was his first single that credited his backing band, the Attractions, and gave him his first UK hit single. The song featured on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time at #354. The single, produced by Nick Lowe, was the first to be credited to 'Elvis Costello & the Attractions', reflecting the new backing band that he was using, previous releases being credited solely to the singer. The lead track was, in fact, recorded in May 1977, before the Attractions existed - the backing band on the song were Steve Goulding on drums and Andrew Bodnar on bass guitar, both from Graham Parker's band, The Rumour. Keyboard overdubs were added later by Steve Nason (later better-known as Steve Nieve). It was also the first top 40 hit in the UK Singles Chart for Costello, reaching #15 and spending a total of eleven weeks in the chart. --------- Art & Video by: Tony Tuthill (www.tonytuthill.com) "Baron of Tee-Shirts" & character designer for The Venetian Princess.
