The response of leading activist organization Breast Cancer Action Network was swift and sure. They condemned the campaign as a marketing gimmick and the companies as hypocritical. Why? Because the very cosmetic and personal care products these and many other companies make are loaded with compounds believed to cause cancer. It is hard to believe, but its a fact that experts say is becoming increasingly clear: most mainstream cosmetic and personal care products contain at least one hazardous chemical compound, and many contain far more than that. By various estimates, there are between about 5000 and 10000 ingredients currently being used in everything from eyeliner and lipstick to shampoos and deodorants. While many are thought to be perfectly safe, many are not. The National Institute of Occupational Safety, for example, has identified almost 900 personal care chemicals that are toxic in one way or another. Some cause cancer. Others cause hormone disruption. Scars and stretch marks are typically treated with three different lasers in each session. First, every scar or stretch mark is individually targeted. Next, we do an overall color blending of the scar area (painting), causing the turn-over of your base-line melanin (old melanin is replaced with new) which evens out your coloration. Thirdly, to fill in the scar from the inside out, we will stimulate the production of collagen with an intense collagen treatment. This targets old deteriorated collagen deep in the dermis in order to accelerate its removal by your bodys own natural processes. We will also target fibroblast cells throughout your dermis, stimulating them to produce amplified quantities of new young collagen. The last portion of the scar and stretch mark removal treatment will smooth out the surface of your scar with an epidermal resurfacing (laser peel). This phase removes a few microns (30-50%) of the epidermis (the dead cells on the top layer of your skin), along with its imperfections, discolorations, fine wrinkles and roughness. Cosmetic - Carlo Ha Detto
Cosmetic è una band nata circa 10 anni fa sulle colline romagnole, traendo ispirazione dalla videocassetta "1991: the year punk broke". In 10 anni sono successe tante cose e la band (ad oggi Bart, Pain, Simone ed Emily) ha suonato con costanza evolvendo fino a trovare la propria forma espressiva più congeniale in una sorta di pop sonico e shoegaze in italiano. Nel 2007 è uscito il primo vero album chiamato "Sursum Corda", edito da Tafuzzy Records e Cane Andaluso e da allora le cose si sono mosse più del solito, tra concerti in giro per l'Italia, recensioni ed esperienze varie. Volevano sciogliersi sul più bello, ma purtroppo ecco arrivare il secondo disco: "Non siamo di qui", pubblicato dall'etichetta La Tempesta. Il nuovo disco parte dalla lezione dei My Bloody Valentine e la rielabora secondo le istanze ormai proprie dei Cosmetic: nel corso della sua lunga carriera la band ha trovato la propria strada, dove lo shoegaze dei maestri è assimilato e trasformato in un sound nuovo, dove la lingua italiana riveste un ruolo di primaria importanza. www.myspace.com/cosmeticmusic

Wasp Woman
The founder and owner of a cosmetic factory, Janice Starlin, is concerned with the dropping sale results of her company. The scientist Eric Zinthrop offers to her his research with wasp enzymes that makes animals younger, and she immediately accepts to hire him, provided she becomes his human subject. She decides by her own to accelerate the treatment injecting additional serum trying to see earlier results, becoming the lethal "Wasp Woman".
