This Contraption was made at Thomas Kidd by Divison 2. We worked on it for a few months now and its completed! We've had some mistakes here and there but in the end we did a great job, Please leave a comment we would love to read your opinions!
The Great Ball Contraption (GBC) [long version]
Idea: Develop a Mindstorms/Technic creation (not competition) in which people of all building levels can participate. Each person can build one (or more) module(s). All modules will be assembled to form a large Rube Goldberg -ish bucket-brigade type contraption. www.greatballcontraption.com
Richard O'Brien - The Contraption

Not the highly stylised tosh you see nowadays shot on crappy flat video. what's it about? a guy is building an unknown contraption while being berated by his offscreen wife, the dialogue is kept at a minimum witht the visuals keeping the film going. High on atmosphere and a simple must for those who are cult film completists and love short films. Filmmakers nowadays can take a few pointers too! enjoy

Rube Goldberg Officeplace Contraption
A friend and I decided to spend a night at my workplace assembling a contraption using supplies from the supply room and my basement. We started at 11p.m. on 6/26/05, and finished around 5:30a.m. This is take eight. Six of the eight worked. UPDATE: Thank you for all the views, everyone! A few quick answers: -Haha, I didn't get fired, this was done during non-business hours. -The heavy breathing is me starting to laugh and trying my hardest to stifle it...I was one second away from busting out the whole time.

Fantastic Contraption no wheels all levels
Every level in Fantastic Contraption done with only tree and water sticks. Took a while but finally pulled it off. I want to thank ground37 for his comments on my designs and other help. Contraption
This contraption was designed and built by the students in the Gateway to Technology class for prospective middle-school instructors. It is believed to be the largest contraption of its kind in Warrensburg, Mo. The sub-systems were designed and built by Austin Anderson, Sarah Church, Dean Grace, Deborah Wilson, and Larry Whittlesey. The contraption has: 9 first class levers 1 second class lever 2 screws or spirals 6 pulleys 1 wheel and axle 34 inclined planes 7 wedges and has a total of 33 individual actions in the system. Why A Contraption? The design and construction of this contraption is a part of the GTT Science of Technology unit which, "traces how science has affected technology throughout history. Students learn about the mechanics of motion, the conversion of energy, and the use of science to improve communication."
