UBG#2 -On Tuesday August 5 we reconvened at the field behind the Station 41 fire department in Waverley NS to shoot the second video in the trilogy, United Breaks Guitars Song 2. Once again, everyone volunteered their time and talent to produce an outstanding video; however, Song 2 was a much bigger production than United Breaks Guitars. In addition to the main roles, we had nearly 100 extras in the cast and in order to say everything we wanted to say with the video, we required a broken guitar, an imitation broken guitar, a 40 foot high scissor lift, a limousine (complete with secret service agents), one genuine imitation space capsule, a space suit, a tuba, 3 suits of German Lederhosen, a canoe, one white panel van and a woman willing to wear tights and a big dollar sign.

The ongoing investigation of a crooked opticians shop by consumer complaints reporter Peter "Watch it, Buddy!" Silverman of CityTVs Silverman Helps has ended in a spectacular dust-up. According to CityNews, the owner of King West Opticians, Adam Plimmer, physically attacked Silverman then locked himself inside his shop in a standoff until he was eventually arrested by the police and charged with assault and assault with a weapon. The sensational footage (released by CityNews to YouTube, as well) shows 33-year-old Plimmer forcefully smacking the door in Silvermans face as he approaches the shop. "Oh, I'm sorry! Did I hit you?" Plimmer screams mockingly, grabbing Silverman's papers and throwing them back at him. He then takes a few swings at the reporter while screaming obscenities, also turning on a TTC driver who stopped to help (Silverman puts up his dukes as well and looks more than ready to clock the guy, whos less than half his age). The clip also shows an emergency police task force moving in and hauling Plimmer away in handcuffs. Silverman and his camera crew were surprised by the violence. "We were told that morning by a phone message by Mr. Plimmer that all was forgiven," said the 75-year-old former military man. Apparently the confrontation had been brewing for several months. Silverman had featured Plimmer and King West Opticians on several past episodes of Silverman Helps after uncovering that the store was selling counterfeit Oakley and Gucci glasses ...

Everyone wants to save money on home gas bills and when people hear the name US Energy Savings, it seems to imply they will. The company is the alternative supplier, which means it could charge you whatever they want for gas. Regulated utility such as Peoples Gas can only profit from the delivery fees but CBS 2 Investigates Pam Zekman some customers of US energy savings are getting caught in a gas gamble. Gas fuel the flame we need for our homes, the amount we use is measure in therms. A term most people are unfamiliar with, much less how much they pay for them. The teams of US Energy Saving salesman seemed to bank on that as they converge on your neighborhood. "They told me that I was going to be saving money on my gas bill, which I'm not." She was paying $0.66 per therm to Peoples Gas now she's lock-in of five years contract at a dollar $1.19 per therm with US Energy Savings. Her gas bill skyrocket then she was shocked to learn she had to pay $600 to cancel. Are you angry? Yeah, very angry because I feel like I was She was one of 700 people who complained to the Citizens Utility Board. "We seen a lot of confusion, a lot of misleading marketing, a lot of frankly fraud." The Hoover Kit comprises of the long bendy tube, 3 separate metal pole bits (2 straight, one with a curve in it) the standard flat bottom end with the changeable carpet to hard floors section, and a few other ends, basically enough for every flat surface, corner, tight area you would ever have. This has 2 settings of power, 600w and 1200w, which even on 600w was enough for normal stuff and 1200w just meant they were gone quicker. Its not too heavy (6.9kgs) when empty and has a winding bit for the lead, there is more than enough lead for the average room (26.8 metres) and it holds up to 9 litres.
