I know we don't want to be purist like the Republican party and have litmus test for our congressman and woman on what it means to be a liberal or Progressive . However, we do have some core values we will not abandon .These conservaDems have to understand that they have to answer to their Liberal/Progressive base as well . Gone are the days when Democrats can only claim they are so, only in name and not be challenged . In my view Mary Landrieu, just like Blanche Lincoln has gotten a little, no allot cozy with the right wing . Blatantly ignoring concerns of Progressives who helped put them in office . First Landrieu had to be bribed just to pass a watered down form of health care . Now she is dancing around the issue on holding oil companies completely, financially responsible for this oil spill . By the way, did you know this conservaDem, Landrieu has accepted $574005 from oil companies since from 2000 to 2008, which makes her one of the highest recipients of oil money ? People this is NOT a Progressive and or even a Liberal . All she is, is a conservative in Democrat's clothing . Nothing more then a financial, political opportunist who has to go . True Progressives Challenging Conserva-Dems
In 2008, Democrats across the country were elected in landslide victories to clean up the mess left by the Republicans. Almost 2 years later, the American public is fed up with Democrats in Washington who, in spite of their Congressional majorities, still want to appease the GOPs every whim. Thats why were seeing a flurry of actual progressive candidates spring up all over the country to challenge the conservative Democrats that refuse to stand up to the GOP. Mike Papantonio recently spoke to one of those progressive candidates Marcy Winograd who is running to unseat Conserva-Dem Representative Jane Harman in California.

My opinion on 60 dems majority part 1
I am a progressive that reads the voting records of the house and the senate. From reading the records I have found that many of the democrts are no better thn the republicans. So even though there are 60 dems in the senate now. I don't feel it changes anything that much. A democratic majority does not mean a progressive majority. www.senate.gov Senate vote on Dick durbin admendemnt hich would have helped americans on fore closure crisis. Mortage bill 12 democrats including Byrd and Tester voted agaist the admendemnt. I guess Byrd was able to vote against us in this bill so he could take money from the banks for his retirement to vote . You old fart. Also to Jon Tester. You ran on such a liberal platform of repealing the patriot act someday. I guess you didnt mean it in this bill. Well then.
