Seven Wonders of the world - Roman Coliseum
The Colosseum is an elliptical amphitheatre in the center of the city of Rome, Italy, the largest ever built in the Roman Empire. It is considered one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and Roman engineering. Occupying a site just east of the Roman Forum, its construction started between 70 and 72 AD under the emperor Vespasian and was completed in 80 AD under Titus, with further modifications being made during Domitian's reign (8196). The name "Amphitheatrum Flavium" derives from both Vespasian's and Titus's family name (Flavius, from the gens Flavia). Capable of seating 50000 spectators,the Colosseum was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. As well as the gladiatorial games, other public spectacles were held there, such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology. The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry, and a Christian shrine. Although in the 21st century it stays partially ruined because of damage caused by devastating earthquakes and stone-robbers, the Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Imperial Rome and its breakthrough achievements in earthquake engineering. Once again I uploaded the full concert of this first. Please tell me if the video's out of sync. It looked out of sync to me when I played it back but tell me if it is out of sync so I can fix it and upload a better version. The February 11th, 1964 concert at the Washington Coliseum, located at 3rd and M Streets NE, occurred during a cold and snowy night. It was the Beatles' first live American performance after their televised appearance on the CBS Ed Sullivan Show. They had arrived in DC earlier that day by train from New York. Before their show that evening, they also appeared at a brief press conference. At show time, there was a sold-out, over-capacity crowd of 8000 fans, by one count. When the Beatles came on, the place erupted with screaming and incessant flash bulbs. The Beatles played for nearly an hour. Because of the set up in the Coliseum, the Beatles were essentially performing on a boxing ring-type stage, and had to move their equipment around on stage a few times in order to give everyone in the audience a chance to see them. Ringo was seen moving his drum set around on stage between sets. [Checkpoint] The level begins where the previous one left you. Go through the door you opened and follow the passage to the next room. Kill the two rats and vault onto the rock in the back left corner. Jump to grab the ledge, pull up and turn around. Jump to grab the top of the pillar and pull up. Pick up the Small Medipack and drop back to the ledge. Jump to grab the next ledge and pull up. Jump to grab the ledge opposite the entrance and pull up. Kill the rat and go to the other side of the ledge. Drop down and jump over the pool. Climb on the stone ledge and pick up the Shotgun Ammo. Then drop back down. Pool and warehouse - Drop into the pool and swim to the side with the fallen pillar (the other way leads to a dead end). On the T junction swim to the left and, if you need it, surface above to get some air. Continue swimming until you pass the broken wall. Surface above and climb out of the water. Kill the two rats and two bats and climb on the low cage. Jump to grab the ledge on the wall, then jump to grab the one on the right. Use the next ledge to reach the big cage where you will find a Large Medipack. Pick it up and drop down. Again, climb on the low cage and jump to grab the ledge on the wall. This time, jump to grab the funnel on the left and traverse around the two corners. Jump to grab the ledge, then the vertical pole behind you. Climb to the top and jump to the big cage.
