Clem Snide covers Journey
Clem Snide frontman (and only constant member) Eef Barzelay has made other artists' songs his own many times before, from Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" to Hank Williams' "Lost On The River" to The Velvet Underground's "I'll Be Your Mirror." When we told Ben Folds that Barzelay would be shooting an Undercover, he said something like, "I can listen to that guy sing anything, all day." When he chose Journey's 1983 power ballad "Faithfully" for Undercover, we were delighted. When he told us it'd be performed in solo-ukulele form, that delight was doubled. It helps that the slightly cheesy lyric is something that Barzelay can relate to--missing your family while out on the road. Here's an amazing line from Wikipedia about Journey's original video: "Steve Perry can be seen shaving his short-lived but talked-about moustache in the video." Don't bail on this video, either: There's a surprise at the end that's even better than moustache-shaving. Clem Snide's latest album is The Meat Of Life.

Caro et Jean-Paul vont essayer de gérer au mieux cette situation, mais vont avoir bien du mal à sauver l'harmonie familiale. Décidée à recommencer à travailler après neuf ans passés à la maison, Caro cherche à sauvegarder son choix... sans cesser d'être mère. Jean-Paul, prof d'EPS dans le même lycée que sa fille, est confronté aux regards de ses collègues, à celui des élèves sur sa fille, au jugement impitoyable d'une prof de français acariâtre... et au fait de passer directement de jeune papa... à très jeune grand-père ! Entre mauvaise foi, malentendus, rires et larmes, Clem et sa famille vont apprendre à gérer cette situation délicate, au plus près de la réalité, de l'émotion et du ton juste. Car si devenir maman à 16 ans est une aventure difficile, faire face à la tourmente tout en ne cessant jamais d'être une famille l'est tout autant

Blondie drummer Clem Burke undergoes Drumming Project experiment
The recent Rhythmfest drum course kicked off with a very special event - the presentation of an honorary doctotorate to Blondie drummer Clem Burke at the University of Gloucestershire. Clem was honoured by the University for his work with the Clem Burke Drumming Project, launched in 2008 in collaboration with the University of Gloucestershire and the University of Chichester. The Project is based on the pursuit of knowledge using scientific methods to investigate the physical health implications of drumming. You may remember reading that research revealed that professional drummers had a heart rate profile similar to professional footballers and expended a significant amount of energy per performance. Following the presentation Clem got behind a kit and proceeded to demonstrate the project, performing for 10 minutes whilst hooked up to a variety of apparatus, the data from which was beamed onto a large screen that highlighted the physical changes taking place during Clem's performance.
