John Cleese - The Parrot Sketch

Legendary UK comic John Cleese - star of Monty Python and Fawlty Towers - is bringing his one man show An Evening With John Cleese to the QPAC Concert Hall. Cleese is loved the world over for his comedic antics in cult films such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, The Life of Brian and the ever memorable television series Fawlty Towers. In 1998 he won a British Academy Award for Best Actor in A Fish Called Wanda which also starred Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Kline. He also appeared in the James Bond films The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day. Few comedy troupes have reached the same fame of Monty Python, and a large part of that success was due to John Cleese and his impeccable timing and sense of humour. Cleese describes his one man show as "an evening of well honed anecdotes, psychoanalytical tit-bits, and unprovoked attacks on former colleagues, especially Michael Palin." Cleese has mastered everything from dry wit to slapstick humour, making his type of humour one that everyone can enjoy. He is the master comedian and admired and respected by everyone. Don't miss this legendary comedian. www.qpac.com.au

John Cleese talks about what is creativity and how to stimulate it. ET FOREDRAG OVER NAKKEN

I do not own this video, all rights go to their rightful owners. This conference helped me change the way I work, and the results of such work, bringing with it a feeling of self fulfillment and confidence that were not present before. It is also very insightful and helps one to deal with the myths of creativity. It was given to me by a danish coworker and friend (which explains the subtitles) when I studied abroad in Poland during 09-10.

Words and Things - John Cleese and Jonathan Miller

John Cleese and Jonathan Miller perform a sketch about two philosophers at "The Second Amnesty Gala" in 1977. This is absolutely one of my very favorite comedy skits of all time. I have literally watched this countless times over the years, and never once has it failed to make me double over and howl with laughter. For me, it is sheer comedy brilliance at it's finest. I have yet to meet someone who finds this as funny as I do. Most Americans in particular, just don't get it. As with so many other things where my taste is concerned, this only affirms that I was born on the wrong side of the pond. Note: No copyright infringement is implied.
