Last night stars rubbed shoulders at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, where they were the first to see Ralph Lauren's Classic car collection in Europe. Jean Reno marvelled at the beauty of the cars, expressing that the cars are historic but modern. Zhang Ziyi spoke about how much she loves visiting Paris and the passion of the city. The former F1 driver, Jackie Stewart, fondly recalls driving and racing with Ralph Lauren in the LM Ferrari in the collection. He said he has an old junkyard with 30's and 40's truck bodies in the woods, but it was wet and muddy and hard to get to the day I shot these. Lots of cool projects to be had here. Most everything's for sale. Larry's hanging onto the 68 BelAire and the T-Bucket and probably that 62 Vette in the garage, but I suspect almost everything else is for sale. Classic Custom Car Show Muscle Car Auto Racing
A Day at the classic car show. Some home video footage of classic muscle cars cruising around the OC Fairgrounds. Revving their engines and melting rubber around corners, those cars made my day. One of the cars was a custom fiberglass Camaro, with fake animal interior. All type of custom work rocked this classic car from zebra skin, cheetah, to leopard (not the Def kind). A slammed lowrider purple roadster puttered by us, and that was only one Low rider. There was a Gravedigger low rider, 1 inch off the ground. Awesome footage of a red mustang racing around the track to pull of a great lap time. One muscle car race driver made it around in 29.8 seconds. All in all a great day at the Classic Custom Car Show. I love muscle cars.

(Road traffic safety more broadly includes roadway design. One of the first formal academic studies into improving car safety was by Cornell Aeronautical Labs of Buffalo, New York. The main conclusion of their extensive report is the crucial importance of seat belts and padded dashboards. Improvements in roadway and automobile designs have steadily reduced injury and death rates in all first world countries.
