I used to like to tell people how "good" I was, how I kept all the Commandments. I thought that was "Good"...... Then I realized something...I Failed!!! "Christian" was just a name I wore...kind of like a pretty coat over a dirty body...It didn't match my heart. Jesus loved everyone, First. If they didn't accept what He said, He still loved them. Its not my job to change you, I can't. But its my job to love you. That I can. So this is an appeal to my Christian Brothers and Sisters, not all but some... stop the Damnation. Stop the Judgement. Stop the Religism. Thats not our business. It doesn't matter how well you can preach...How many Bible Verses you've memorized or How many people "think" you are all that. If you don't have love, you're nothing. Love is not a chore. Love thy neighbor as thy self, unless hes a Moabite or some thing, in which case feel free to slaughter them man, woman child and ox. Yup the bible at times reads like the end of The Unforgiven. ' Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down.' Now compare to Joshua 6:21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword. The really obscene thing though is religion can make a sane man stand up in the front of an auditorium at Oxford University and justify the slaughter of children. I am still stunned that they just sat there while he calmly went through and explained why killing children as 'spoils of war' was actually a supremely moral act, and a joyous occasion for all involved in that this was the day that these children were to be blessed with the ultimate gift of having their earthly phase of life being terminated. Just to put this into a modern context, if any of these slaughters for 'God' had been performed using gas chambers, would there still be lines of christian queuing up to justify this by the infinite blessing the children received?

Miley is known for being the good, southern Christian girl, so when she wrote the word "Beautiful!" about this quote, everyone pounced. After fans told her to go to hell, Miley tweeted in response: "How can people take the love out of science and bring hate into religion so easily?" And she followed that one up with a quote from another physicist: "It makes me sad to think the world is this way. Like Einstein says 'Science without religion is lame. I decided to use Dr. Ludwig Von Drake to stand in for Duesberg... it needed a little light hearted comedy and the accent fit (as did some of the lip synch... creepy). I'm sorry if I ruined any pleasant childhood memories. According to both of them, AIDS is caused by NOT being a fundamentalist Christian. It's caused by sin and debauchery. Only bad people get AIDS, and AIDS only affects the bad people. I just can't facepalm any harder... it's a perfect storm of stupidity. Duesberg had previously used slightly racist terms for Africans, it makes me wonder how much of his denialism is motivated by bigotry. Duesberg has hit rock bottom. With the flourish, in recent years, of popular and widely accessible debates on this subject, the arguments coming from the theistic side have very quickly become predictable, stale, old, and even less convincing than they may have been the first time they were used. -----Read the script of this video at www.nonstampcollector.com This debate has to change. Theists - when all of your arguments have been debunked, and you keep spouting them anyway, congratulations - you're not convincing anyone except the credulous and weak minded. Are you proud of that? I've often thought of opening up a second channel on youtube, on which I could engage in some debates with other users, but every time I ponder the idea I realise that 90% of the time I'd just be bringing people up to speed on what has already been answered a million times in the past. Screw that. The way I see it, this debate ended a few decades ago. Everything that had been brought to the table then is what we're still seeing being brought to the table now. What we "new" or "affirmative" atheists are doing is trying to knock some nails into the coffin so that this whole thing can be put to rest in what Sam Harris so eloquently calls "the vast graveyard of mythology".
