Most of this footage is in Lafayette, Louisiana, with some spots in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Houston. Filmed and edited by Eric Ryan. I've been trying to force myself to finish this montage for over 3 months now. I've made attempts with too many different songs to want to think about. These are the only two that my friends and I both liked, and I could stand to edit to. Enjoy it. Featuring Christian Willis, Jordan Trahan, Mikey Morris, Adam Barousse, Daniel Barousse, Kyle Cox, Zack Kuehne, Jordan Peirron, Lance Chapin, and Will Baldwin. Gage isn't in this montage, but you can see him on the link I posted directly below this paragraph. This is about the latest footage I can find of Gage, before he slowed down with skating. Keep in mind all of this footage is 4.5+ years old. blip.tv Gage is wearing solid white tees in nearly all his clips. His first 2 clips are a back 180 and kickflip off a roof drop. Throughout the rest of the clips he does back crooks, feebles, and boardslides down a few different handrails. He's got the fsflip over the gap at the very end too. Dedicated to Gage Norman. Mississippi Grind New Orleans
Red Bull floated a skatepark down the river starting at the twin cities hosting contests in a few cities as they went along. The finals for Mississippi Grind took place in New Orleans along with the local qualifiers and best trick contest. Christian Dufrene won first in the local qualifiers and Kyle Cox won second. Christian Willis won best trick with a smith grind kickflip out. Scott Laird came in first in the finals. Additional filming by Todd Taylor.

These few brief glimpses into the magic that went into this marvellous picture were made available to the public for a short while on the Song of the South page of the Walt Disney Museum website. They have now been removed from the website. I'm not entirely sure why; it could be that the Disney company wasn't pleased with the fact that behind the scenes footage of a film they refuse to release should be seen by the public--or it could simply be due to the fact that the site has gone through some drastic reworking. I would like to leave a copyright notice, however I am not aware who the rights holder of this wonderful footage is. And so I would like to simply acknowledge that this footage does not belong to me, that it is owned by someone other than myself. If anyone knows who, specifically, please let me know and I would be happy to give them credit.

HD test footage.
I'm testing out the HD setting for Youtube. Most of this was all filmed within the last two weeks after I finally got AVCHD working with FCP. This is not a montage, and definitely not a promo. As hopefully some of you have guessed that I'm back to working on another full length. Nothing about the video is set in stone, so I can't answer any questions yet. Plus, I'm haven't even decided if I'll primarily shoot it in SD or HD yet. I will have the official teaser coming out in a few weeks or less. The montages will stop "for now," but I will continue to put together as many throwaway montages as possible.
