Celebrity Hacker Caught by FBI; Christopher Chaney Accused of Stealing Data, Nude Photos From Scarle
The FBI has added a new word to the digital lexicon: Hackerazzi. That's what they are labeling the case of Christopher Chaney, the Florida man accused of hacking into the online accounts of celebrities Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, and singer Christina Aguilera, among others. Chaney allegedly tapped into financial information, movie scripts, and conversations that the actresses believed to be private. And the indictment accuses the 35-year-old Chaney of accessing nude photos of Johansson which were then circulated on the Internet. Chaney, who claims his celebrity hacking started as curiosity and quickly grew to addiction, could face up to 121 years in federal prison if convicted of all 26 counts.

He's the reason we've seen celebs like Scarlett Johansson naked- and why many other celebs fear their private photos could go public. And now the cell phone hacker tells CNN why he did it. Meet Christopher Chaney - the man who allegedly hacked into the cell phones of celebs like Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and Christina Aguliera and was arrested by the FBI on Tuesday. Chaney explains why he couldn't stop once he started. And while he says he was relieved when he got caught, Chaney insists he was never in it for the money. And he has a message to those whose trust he violated. Now Chaney could face up to 121 years behind bars. He's been charged with nine counts of computer hacking, eight counts of aggravated identify theft, and nine counts of illegal wiretapping.
