Find this and many more recipes with pictures on the Giallozafferano App (in English) itunes.apple.com *** Hi GialloZafferano viewers and welcome to our kitchen. I'm Sonia and today we'll be making a traditional American dessert: the New York cheesecake. Let's see what ingredients we'll be using: • 9 oz of graham crackers or digestive biscuits- • 7 oz of sour cream • 1 tbsp of powdered sugar • 1 tsp of vanilla extract • 10 and a half tbsp of butter- • 2 tbsp of cane sugar- • 7 tbsp of heavy cream- • 21 oz of cream cheese- • 2 tbsp of cornstarch • The juice from half a lemon • 3 eggs- • Half a cup of sugar- Let's look at how we'll make our cheesecake. We'll begin by making the base of the cheesecake. Crush the graham crackers together with the cane sugar in a food processor. Put the mix into a bowl and add the melted butter. Mix together until you get a dense mixture. I've buttered a 10 inch springform pan. Place a piece of parchment paper cut to the same diameter into the bottom of the pan. Now, with the graham cracker mix, cover the bottom and sides of the pan. Here's the crust. Place it in the refrigerator to set for an hour, or in the freezer for 30 minutes. In this bowl, I'm preparing the custard mix that we'll pour into the crust. I've mixed together the cream cheese, the cornstarch, the eggs, the heavy cream and the sugar. After adding two pinches of salt and ...

If you have struggled with trying to make a decent pie crust, then maybe a pumpkin cheesecake with a graham cracker crust is the answer for you." "Most of the questions I receive regarding cheesecakes (I teach baking classes at American River College in Sacramento, CA) have to do with the problem of unsightly cracks in the baked cheesecake. I will share with you my pumpkin cheesecake recipe, along with many tips to help prevent lumpy batter and avoid cracking during or after baking." -- Judy Parks

Subscribe to Beth here at CookingAndCrafting: www.youtube.com Here is her thin mint brownie video: www.youtube.com Here is where I found the recipe, I have modified it slightly: picky-palate.com 13 Thin Mint Cookies (or any other minty cookie) crushed into fine crumbs 2 Tablespoons melted butter (I found the bottoms of mine to be a bit too buttery, I would recommend reducing this to 1 or 1.5 tbsp) 8 oz (250g) softened cream cheese 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg 2 1/2 tablespoons buttermilk (make your own by putting about 1/2 tsp of white vinegar in a tablespoon measure and filling to the top of with milk. Pour this into a larger container and add the additional 1/2 tbsp (to make 2 1/2 tbsp total. Place 1 Tbsp of cookie mixture into 10 cupcake pans that have been well greased or lined with cupcake liners. In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and the softened cream cheese. Beat in the egg and buttermilk until well combined. Pour cheesecake mixture into cupcake pans filled almost to the very top. Bake at 300F 25-30 minutes or until set all the way through. Cool for 15 minutes. Melt chocolate chips in microwave and stir in heavy cream or milk and stir until smooth and shiny. Spoon 1 ...
