Charles I enters the House of Commons
On 4 January 1642, King Charles I entered the House of Commons to arrest five members. So angered were MPs at this breach of parliamentary privilege that they slammed to doors of the chamber in the faces of the King's men. When Charles finally entered the House of Commons, the Speaker, William Lenthall, refused to reveal the location of the wanted men, famously saying: "May it please your Majesty, I have neither eyes to see nor tongue to speak in this place but as the House is pleased to direct me, whose servant I am here." This incident lead to the English Civil War and no monarch has entered the House of Commons since. Every year this event is commemorated during the State Opening of Parliament when Black Rod tries to enter the Commons, the door is slammed in his face to symbolise the independence of the elected House of Commons from the monarchy. This video is a dramatisation from the film 'Cromwell'.

Prince Charles Gives Weather Forecasting A Try
Royalty doing weather forecasting, this is a new trend. Prince Charles had a go at reading the weather during a tour of BBC Scotland's Pacific Quay headquarters. He and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, visited the broadcaster as a part of their annual Holyrood Week. BBC newsreader Sally Magnusson handed over to Prince Charles, who read his version of Reporting Scotland's lunchtime weather. The prince, also known as the Duke of Rothesay, had earlier met students at the City of Glasgow College. Prince Charles Against a backdrop of the BBC's weather map, Prince Charles delivered a specially written script which included references to royal residences in Scotland. Looking directly into the camera, he said: "The best of the bright and dry weather will of course be in the northern isles and the far north of the mainland. So, a little hazy sunshine for the Castle of Mey in Caithness. "But a cold day everywhere with temperatures of just 8C and a brisk northerly wind. Thank God it isn't a bank holiday." The duke and duchess spent more than an hour at BBC Scotland, which is celebrating 60 years of television broadcasting

Ray Charles was born in Georgia and moved to Florida as a child. At the age of 5 he began losing his sight gradually, and by age 7 is completely blind. Florida, he studied at St. Augustine deaf and blind, where he first learned to play the piano. He then moved to Seattle, where he began to be published as a musician. Towards the end of 60's style and diversity to record the songs of rock and roll and pop. Since issued dozens of diverse and successful records, including songs he composed his own songs and performance of others. Ray Charles went on to appear in the 80s and 90s, until his death in 2004. This year was the biographical film "Ray, starring Jamie Foxx, who won the Oscar on the embodiment of Charles. Ray learned his life in various entanglements, especially Bahtamachrotho drugs and betrayals of his wife. Ray also worked for the struggle against racism in Achssarab appear in Georgia which was the separation of races, not the black spectators were allowed to enter the hall with those bricks. A few years later cherished him the state of Georgia when she became the song (written by Hoagy Bix Eviidrebak Carmyekel gained fame performing Ray Charles), "George Yeh my heart" (georgia on my mind) be counted official.

Prince Charles Turns Scotland TV Weatherman
Television audiences watching the weather forecast in Scotland received an unexpected surprise on Thursday (May 10) as Britain's Prince Charles delivered the local weather report for the region. Dressed in a dark suit, blue shirt and striped tie, Charles looked like the perfect professional as he gestured towards the map behind him, describing the wet and cold conditions in store for Scotland over the coming days. The move comes as part of the prince's attempts to appear more accessible and less aloof to the general public. His wife, the Duchess of Cornwall also tried her hand at being a weather girl. Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall are visiting Scotland as part of their annual Holyrood Week, visiting the BBC's Scotland office as it celebrates 60 years of broadcasting.
