This creates a nice, stretchy edge that works well for stockinette stitch or for ribbing. Easy to knit from, easy to pick up stitches from, this is also the fastest cast-on I know, once you get the hang of it. It's even faster than Single Cast-On when you take into account that this method creates an already knitted row. (By the way, purl the first row if working stockinette on straight needles, because of the already-knitted row this creates.) Recommended for beginners, or anyone. ...Calculate 1/2" - 1" of yarn per stitch for the "long tail" that is required for this cast-on method. Let the tail dangle from the thumb of the left hand, so that it can untwist occasionally as you go (the thumb side gets twisted).

It's the second step in every knitting project—and you don't have to be a Professor to know how to do it. To complete this How-To you will need: A knitting needle with a slipknot of yarn attached Step 1: Hold needle & yarn Hold the needle in your left hand at the point where the knot sits on the needle. Hold the tail end of the yarn under your finger to keep it out of the way. Tip: As a beginner, use thicker needles—they're easier to maneuver. Step 2: Make "gun" Make a "gun" of your right hand and grip the attached end of the yarn under your 3 bent fingers. Your left hand and needle should be held above the gun. Step 3: Point "gun" Point your "gun" straight up so your right hand is now making a "number one" with your thumb pointed out to the side, while also dropping your left hand down to the side with the needle pointing up.Ê The yarn should now be wrapped behind your right forefinger. Concrete Casting: How to Make a Concrete Sink Mold
www.smooth-on.com to learn more about concrete casting. Casting a reproduction concrete sink basin by making a 2-part Vytaflex production rubber mold. Step One: Construct Mold Box Measure original sink basin. Use melamine board (formica coated) to make mold box segments, which will ensure easier separation from mold rubber. Step Two: Create Spacer Board Center model on board to use as a spacer board. Create perimeter outline for cutting. Center model on baseboard. Position spacer board and align with baseboard. Mark alignment point on baseboard and spacer board. Use modeling clay to create a gasket. Use non-sulfur based clay only. This will prevent rubber from going underneath model. Modeling clay will fill negative space between original model and spacer board. Remove excess clay. Step Three: Acorn Nuts will be Used to Create Registration Keys Hot melt glue will be used to secute acorn nuts. Place extra key for mold orientation. Step Four: Assemble and Seal Mold Box Screw melamine boards together with dray wall screws. Seal seams with hot melt glue. Step Five: Release Mold Box and Model Apply Universal Mold Release to all surfaces. Step Six: Measure, Mix and Pour VytaFlex 40 Mold Rubber VytaFlex 40 mix ratio: 1 part A to 1 part B by volume. Measure, mix, and pour the liquid rubber. Do not pour beyond sink hole. Let rubber cure for 16 hours at room temperature. Step Seven: Prepare to Make Second Half of Mold Use non-sulfur clay to fill in surface irregularities. Measure ...
