Three members of the Canadian band Nickelback speak from Mission Control, Houston with astronauts and fans Doug Wheelock and Scott Kelly aboard the International Space Station. Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger and Ryan Peake also toured the Johnson Space Center's Space Vehicle Mockup Facility with veteran astronaut Steve Robinson, and got a ride in NASA's shuttle motion-base simulator. The band, from Hanna, Alberta and now based in Vancouver, BC, was in Houston for two concert appearances.

Well, tonight's the night I'm making a big comeback... particularly a Canadian comeback! The Dual 701 I've been repairing recently has really held me back... so has a special LP I've been waiting for to arrive in the mail for a whole week (you'll see what it is when it arrives and I upload it!). I just figured that interruptions should not get in the way of my continuing upload routine, so I decided to post this song by Triumph, yet another favoruite Canadian band of mine. This tune gets TONS of radioplay on Q107 in Toronto; of course, Triumph, being Maple Leaf Gardens regulars back in the late 1970's, were REALLY popular in their day and continue to rock today! I have to say, this is one of their best tunes. Certainly reminds me of Boston's vibe. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

The album features an eponymous seven-part suite written by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, with lyrics written by Neil Peart telling a dystopian story set in the year 2112. The album is sometimes described as a concept album although the songs on the second side are unrelated to the plot of the suite. Rush repeated this arrangement on the 1978 album Hemispheres. 2112 is one of two Rush albums listed in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die (the other being Moving Pictures).
