Dance provides second chance for Cambodia's poorest - Tiny Toones performance in Australia
They come from some of the poorest neighbourhoods of Cambodia, often from broken homes, gangs or prostitution, but a bunch of teenagers have become the stars of a hip-hop and break-dancing show touring to Australia. They're members of a group called Tiny Toones, which helps underprivileged Cambodian kids turn their lives around using drama, dance and education. Chomrern Vy, known as Beaver, explained Tiny Toones' influence. "Tiny Toones takes me from the bad kid to the good kid," he said. Tiny Toones welcomes anyone who walks through the door. Three thousand people, aged four to 25, did so last year. Australian social worker, Romi Grossberg, raised $30000 for the group to tour Australia. He said Tiny Toones saves lives. "Without Tiny Toones, they might not be alive today or they might be back out on the streets doing drugs," he said. The teens' infectious energy and inspirational stories have proved a hit with Melbourne audiences.

The Joy of Living | A Cambodian Village Portrait
Cambodia is literally one huge rice paddy and the country side is just beautiful during this season. Even though the people have not been pleased with freedom in the past everyone welcomes you with open arms wherever you go. Children always smile at you, wave and say "Hello". Trapang Chhuk Hamlet is a charming small village south Phnom Penh near the elephant mountains. Very basic and no tourism at all. We had the chance to spend two days at Srah's place and shooting a little short film about this nice village and the daily life going on there. Mr. Heng Chum does a great job with helping and educating children while day are not working on the rice fields. The film is a co-production of Caringo Photografix and Kraakhelder Production where editing was done by Kraakhelder. Thanks again to the village people for the hospitality especially to Srah and his family as well as Mr. Heng Chum. The film was shot with two canon 5dMkII and one 550d. Lenses from 10 to 200mm.

Eviction and resistance in Cambodia
Mai was forcibly evicted from Bos village, Oddar Meanchey province, in October 2009. Over the past two decades Cambodia has emerged from armed conflict, economic stagnation and isolation. These changes have brought opportunities and challenges for the women of Cambodia. But many women in Cambodia are at risk of forced evictions. Amnesty International and other organisations have exposed the Cambodian authorities' systematic failure to protect people from forced evictions. Forced evictions in the name of economic development now occur regularly across Cambodia, as local elites and foreign investors seek to capitalize on a newly privatized land market and take control of the country's natural resources. This is one of a series of films which tell the stories of five Cambodian women who faced or resist forced eviction from their homes and land.

The Killing Fields, located outside Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is an area where thousands of people were buried as a result of the ruthless Pol Pot regime. Pol Pot, originally named Saloth Sar, was a Cambodian communist leader that led the Khmer Rouge to execute millions of Cambodian citizens during the late 1970s.
