A dance-based electronic duo with a definite rock band feel, the comparison would seem appropriate, although it tends to erase what makes the group distinct a solid base in American hip-hop, rock, soul, and pop. Formed in 1993 by Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland, Crystal Method is the most recent stop in a string of projects that led them from their native Las Vegas (and some forgettable four-track stabs at vocal house music), to the early-'90s LA rave scene. Drawn in by its youthful idealism, Jordan and Kirkland became absorbed by LA's underground club culture and began knocking out tracks inspired by their experiences. On the strength of one of their demos, Crystal Method signed to Steve Melrose and Justin King's City of Angels imprint in 1994, and their debut single, "Keep Hope Alive," appeared soon after. The title was in reference to LA's waning rave scene (burdened by constant police pressure and a string of random violent incidents) and became something of an anthem due to the endless barrage of remixes and alternate versions that appeared. Busy Child by The Crystal Method is one of my favourite tracks, and it just happens to work really well with Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood. This is a live remix (not prerecorded) using the Akai APC40, running Ableton Live on my Mac. I had to EQ and compress both tracks quite heavily to get them to work together. I am using the Effectrix, Lucifer, and QuadFrohmage plugins to add some of the incidental effects.

Moment four-year-old child made lucky escape after falling from a moving car onto a busy road junction in China. Incredible footage has emerged of a driver leaping from his moving car to rescue his child who had fallen out onto a busy road junction. The four-year-old girl can be clearly seen dropping out of the front door at the bustling crossroads in China and narrowly missing the back wheel. A taxi driver following close behind has to slam on the brakes and manages to bring the vehicle to a sudden halt just yards from the terrified infant. The unmanned car the father and daughter were traveling in is left to fly off the road and smash into a tree. The petrified youngster was said to have suffered only bruising during the shocking ordeal - which police said happened after she opened the door accidentally while climbing into the front seat. Officer Chen Shu said: 'When it happened, a nearby taxi and all the other cars weren't going too fast, and the taxi braked immediately so it did not hit the child.' The amazing escape was captured by a surveillance camera in the city of Wenzhou in Zhejiang province.

The child can be seen on CCTV footage dodging cars and buses as he heads across a busy crossroads in the eastern city of Wenzhou. "It took place at about 5.30pm during rush hour, with huge passenger and traffic flows," said the officer who plucked the boy to safety. The child was reunited with his grandfather after the ordeal. He said he took care of his grandson everyday as the boy's parents went to work. He insisted he always kept a close eye on the child who disappeared when he went to the toilet.

Robin sees Patrick hold a child
At GH, Patrick is worried because of Robin's severe morning sickness, but she reassures him that it is normal. At the NS, Robin comes over to sign some paperwork for Claudia and Johnny and ends up giving herself a paper cut. Claudia throws another biggoted fit and refuses to have anything to do with Robin or the paperwork for fear of contracting HIV. Jason steps off the elevator and Claudia struts over to him. Jason later warns Robin to stay as far away from Claudia as possible. A mother and two children come into the hospital, and Patrick notices that she needs some help when the older child starts acting up. The mother hands off her baby to Patrick, who is clearly uncomfortable holding the infant. The baby is cute and seems content in Patrick's arms and smiles up at him. Robin looks on with a mischievous smile on her face. Patrick asks both Epiphany and Robin for help, but they just smile and tell him they are busy. After the mother takes her child back, Robin and Patrick talk about their own child. Robin tells him he doesn't have to hold their baby if he doesn't want to, but she is glad he is the father. AbdulBasit also, was asked about his best wish of life. Abdul Basit told that his wish & utmost desire is to become a soldier of Pakistan Army & he is ready for it even if allowed for one day. His desire passed through the NGO to the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani. General Kayani took special interest & permitted the little blood-cancer patient to become a soldier of Pak Army for one day(14th August-Independence day). Young soldier reached his unit 30th Punjab in Malir Cantt, Karachi on the 63rd Independence day of Pakistan. Though very week because of his fatal disease, he was very proud & full of spirit. We actually believe that Beatles are among the greatest musicians of all times. But let's face it: most of the kids today don't care. They listen to either death metal or shake-butt stuff. My kids love Beatles but don't like some lyrics. Stefan, somewhat upset, asked me: "why so much 'love you baby' stuff? I don't want to sing it. Can't we change that?" So we did. Chinese Father Leaps Out Moving car to Save Child
Surveillance footage showed a father jumping out of a moving car to carry his daughter to safety seconds after she tumbled out of the vehicle at a busy intersection in China. Police in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, said the four-year-old girl had opened the door accidentally while climbing from the back of the car to the front. "I quickly went to take a look. It turned out that the child climbed from the back of the seat to the front while her father was driving, accidentally opened the door and fell out. When it happened, the taxi and all the other cars weren't going too fast, and the taxi braked immediately so it did not hit the child," said Wenzhou police officer Chen Shu. The father, without stopping the moving car, quickly leapt out of the same door to scoop her up off the road. The black car continued its course for about 10 metres before it hit a tree on the curb and came to a halt. Thankfully, the girl escaped the incident with only minor bruises.
