Burnley FC Goals 2010-2011 Season
So here it is, alot of goals to show from the 2010-11 season. It was a season of both good and bad, and a season which was over shadowed by our lack of faith in 'our Bri', inconsistancy on the pitch and injuries to key players. Now it's time for the Eddie Howe era! Hurstwood reservoir mountain bike trail (Burnley Lancashire)
In 2011 Lancashire County Council and United Utilities started a £300000 project to "transform" Worsthorne Moor (part of the South Pennines) into an oasis for wildlife, ramblers and, er, mountain bikers. As at March 2012, there is some work still taking place to restore the heather moorland and the vital peatland of the moor. But the big IMPORTANT news for thrill seekers is that a new mountain bike trail has been completed, allowing MTBers a great little trail from the dam at the Hurstwood reservoir through the woods and back to the car park at Hurstwood village. This video is meant to give mountain bikers an idea of what is actually on the trail; so no no-one does any prat-falls, no-one loses their nuts, no-one breaks any bones. No animals were hurt in the making of this video; although a friendly border collie chewed up some sticks. The top section starts from just below the large wooden farmgate at the eastern end of the dam of Hurstwood Reservoir. This gravel section is only about 150 to 200 metres long, but it is a nice introduction to the new trail, with generally gentle sweeping curves and berms. If it's your first time out on your new Halfords or supermarket bike, it's definitely a section to keep repeating until you can do it with no mishaps or near misses. For any-one who been on a mountain bike for more than a few months, it's pretty easy to do so you might like to power down the slopes as a warm-up. The bottom section links in with the top and starts from just ...

Burnley v Wolves, 15th November 1975
The 1975-76 season ultimately saw Wolves relegated from the First Division and with it came the dismissal of manager Bill McGarry. However, there were a number of matches throughout that season that highlighted the quality that Wolves possessed, including five-goal thrashings of Sheffield United, Burnley and Newcastle United and an impressive FA Cup run that ended against eventual finalists Manchester United at the quarter-final stage. For the match against Burnley, played at Turf Moor on 15th November 1975, Wolves were to display their unquestionable attacking abilities that, unfortunately, proved so spasmodic for much of that particular season. John Richards was the leading scorer for Wolves with an impressive 25 league and cup goals, ahead of midfielder Kenny Hibbitt with a total of 12 league and cup goals. The same fate of relegation suffered by Wolves awaited Burnley but, with Wolves quickly returning to the First Division as champions the following season, it was a further 33 years before Burnley returned to the top flight. Originally broadcast on BBC Match of the Day with John Motson commentating.

Norwich 4-1 Burnley - Official Highlights and Goals | FA Cup 3rd Round Proper 07-01-12
Norwich 4-1 Burnley - Official Highlights and Goals | FA Cup 3rd Round Proper 07-01-12 Norwich cruised into the fourth round after scoring twice in each half during a classy display against Burnley. Early headers by Grant Holt and Simeon Jackson made it 2-0 to Norwich before Jay Rodriguez pulled a goal back, nodding in a Ross Wallace free-kick. Holt missed a penalty before the break after Charlie Austin was adjudged to have handled Andrew Crofts's cross. But Andrew Surman's cool finish and Steve Morison's tap-in completed a well-deserved victory. Norwich's Premier League quality shone through in their superior passing and movement. Wes Hoolahan was a major threat going forward for the Premier League side while Daniel Ayala impressed in defence. Given how many of Norwich's players were in the Championship last season, the commanding nature of the victory illustrated just how far they have come in a short space of time under manager Paul Lambert. It also demonstrated how much work Burnley have to do before a return to the top flight becomes realistic. Lambert made five changes, including a rare start for Declan Rudd in goal, but their side was still strong as they faced a Burnley team who have made a habit of cup runs in recent years. Burnley fielded three forwards - and came into the game on the back of three clean sheets in four matches - but any hopes of an upset were severely damaged by the quarter-hour mark. Norwich's first came when Hoolahan showed his ability to ...
