Moon Over Bourbon Street (Lyrics)

This is what Sting has to say in his lyrics book: "Anne Rice's 'Interview with the Vampire' was the direct inspiration for this song, but there was a moonlit night in the French Quarter of New Orleans where I had the distinct impression that I was being followed" (Sting 111). I had video taped my friend's band. Eric Hagen, Kelly Waldrip, John Santos and Dave Smith were all part of Fuzzplow. It's too bad they aren't together anymore, but I thought I would share. The place was pretty full and I had to go to the back. They are all in different bands now, but I think you can still buy their music.

Although I Flew to New Orleans this weekend for a business meeting, it just so happened that it was also Superbowl weekend. After the game the crowd spilled out into the streets like a flowing river and everyone was hugging and slapping high fives. It was quite a celebration!
