Owle Bubo (What's so good about it)
In this video, I am comparing the difference between iPhone 4 and iPhone 4 with Owle Bubo. Officially, iPhone 4 has a 720p video recording. And it can shoot some high quality video. But as you people may know the original iPhone 4 in video mode has cropped 30%. So while you are doing a handheld shooting. It becomes very shaky. The Owle Bubo with the wide-angle lens makes the video more stabilize. And it will not keep focusing itself because of too close. (Shooting at night) Although the original iPhone 4 has a LED light for people who wanted to shoot some great video at night. But unfortunately the LED light isn't enough to shoot at night. So Owle bubo has come with a cold shoe adapter. Then you can plug in whatever you like and get the best quality of shooting. (Mic Supports) iPhone 4 supports the mic input, so you can plug in the powerful mic to get the best sound in the video. Such as: The Rode VideoMic Pro In Conclusion, iPhone 4 isn't the best video shooting device, you can easily find any small cameras have a better quality. But as you know, you will always bring your phone outside, but you won't bring your camera with you all the time. So making videos with Owle Bubo isn't a bad choice.
iPhone 4 - Owle Bubo no mods perfect fit :)
Anybody like myself who owns the Owle Bubo camera adaptor for the iphone will be worried that their investment went out the window with the release of the iphone 4. The Owle guys say that they are working on finding cases that fit the iphone 4 and hold it into the bubo... well... they already have... the case that shipped with my bubo to hold an iphone 3gs in place happily holds my iphone 4 in place. People loved playing with the OWLE bubo, shooting video, taking pictures (which we were going to upload later) Turns out someone else had other plans for the brand new 32 gig iphone inside. The last 10 minutes of the launch party someone ripped it out =( Now to be honest we should have known better. Instead of getting angry though, we decided to play a little prank and get even. Well the new iPhone 4S video has a much greater quality camera than the last few iPhones do and attaching SLR lenses allows you to knock the background out of focus just like real film and cinema cameras with large sensors or 35mm frame sizes.
