How to make a paint brush
Here is a step by step video showing how to make a home made paint brush. If you enjoy painting (art painting, that is), then you may appreciate making your own brushes to suit your artistic needs. I used horse hair for the brush fibers, and a stick from my backyard for the handle. The horse hair came from my sister's horses. You can make any type of brush you want using this technique. By the way, I just made up this technique, so don't think I am an expert. I am creating these brushes as Christmas presents for an art kit that I am making for my sister's kids. It only takes about ten minutes to make a brush, so get started. By the way, if you don't know of any horses that needed a trimming, you can use dog hair, cat hair, or human hair for the brush fiber. You could probably go to your local pet store and ask for hair from some of the animals.

We've all be there. We've applied our makeup, foundation concealer etc... Youre flawless then apply powder with a brush and - then redness is back. In this video I show you two ways of applying loose powder. The first method is using a brush and pat and gently rolling back and forth on the skin. This method works well. The second method and the best one by far is using a powder puff and pressing and rolling the puff loaded with powder on the skin. This locks in the foundation etc.... And makes your makeup bullet proof. You then take a powder brush and knock off the excess powder that is on the skin. Then you're free to apply powder blush and highlighter etc... But won't it make me caky? No. If anything it will give your skin a look of being polished and flawless. I cannot imagine doing a wedding or someone's makeup for an event and not using this method. A good brush will last you a very very long time and are worth the expense. Are these worth the money? Yes. Can you get just as good brushes for less? Yes! Standout brushes are the Eyeshadow Brush (also for highlighting), Cream Foundation Brush (also good for powders) and the Blush Brush (also good for liquids and powders etc...) Brushes start from £35 and go up to £80 for the bronzer/powder brush. I believe that hakuhodo make Tom Ford brushes - and the quality is definitely there. If you can justify spending this amount of makeup brushes then you will not be disappointed. But please don't be thinking "oh i really really need these" because you can get great brushes at all prices. I bought these brushes myself, and received no discount on them, nor were any given to me free - damn it! I would like to think in time Mr Ford will be giving discounts to makeup artists that use his line - i'm doubtful though! If you're listening Mr Ford, you should give me a call! We need to see more MATTE eyeshadows in your collection.
