Van Crashes Off Overpass near Bronx Zoo; killing 7, including 3 children RIP 4/29/2012
Seven people are confirmed dead after a van crashed near New York's Bronx Zoo on Sunday afternoon. The van drove off an overpass of the Bronx River Parkway and three of the victims were children. Police say the van was headed south Sunday afternoon around 12.30pm on the Bronx River Parkway, a highway in the north of the city. The Bronx Zoo, which is the largest metropolitan zoo in the world, is run by the Wildlife Conservation Society. A representative for the Conservation Society told NY1 that the crash did not take place 'anywhere near the Bronx Zoo's exhibits or visitors', though they did not specify the location any further.

Seven are dead after a van flew off a Bronx River Parkway overpass and into a train yard near the Bronx Zoo, . Three of the victims were children, officials said. Police said the van was headed south Sunday afternoon on the Bronx River Parkway. It bounced off the median, crossed all southbound lanes over to the guardrail and fell 100 feet into the yard. It's not clear what caused the van to go out of control. Fire department sources told DNA Info that the van fell 50 to 60 feet and landed in the Zoo. NYPD KICKS DOOR BEFORE SHOOTING UNARMED BRONX TEEN
Surveillance video outside the Bronx home of Ramarley Graham shows police struggling to enter the residence and kicking in a door moments before an NYPD officer shot and killed the unarmed 18-year-old in his bathroom. While surveillance footage from a neighboring home showed Graham running down the street with police pursuing, this footage obtained by WPIX 11 shows Graham casually entering his house. Seconds later two NYPD officers with their guns drawn attempt to break down the door. Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters on Friday that the officer who shot Graham, 30-year-old Richard Haste, shouted "Show me your hands!" and "Gun! Gun!" at the teenager before shooting him in the chest in his bathroom. But the only other person in the apartment at the time, Graham's 58-year-old grandmother Patricia Hartley, told the Times through friend of the family Carlton Berkley that she heard no such thing. Additionally, residents of the apartment dispute the NYPD's assertion that the officers announced themselves when forcibly entering their home. Also at issue is the manner in which Hartley was treated: Berkley says she was held at the 47th Precinct for seven hours so that she could give police a statement. "She gave it against her will," Berkley, a retired police detective says. "She didn't want to speak to police." Paul Browne, the NYPD's spokesperson, said that Hartley was "naturally upset but cooperative," and said she actually spent five and a half hours speaking with police ...

Previous News reports have shown a man running down the street claiming that it was Ramarley Graham fleeing police. Newly released footage obtained from a surveillance camera at Ramarley's home shows him calmly walking into his house and than moments later a NYPD cop running up and trying to kick the front door in with his partner behind him with gun his drawn. This video contradicts earlier statements made by NYPD claiming that they were watching a corner store that was suspected of drug dealing when they observed Ramarley Graham appearing to have a gun. There is absolutely no way Ramarley Graham could have put that much distance between himself and the cops and have enough time to calmly walk up to his front door without appearing to be out of breath from running half a city block at full speed as shown in a previous video. If we do not use our common sense and continue to let the NYPD make up stories to cover up citizen executions than innocent unarmed people will continue to be shot dead on the streets and in their own homes while murderous police look for more victims to jail and murder. It is clear that the NYPD is trying to cover up what happened and nothing they say makes sense because it is all a lie that video and physically evidence discredits. At the time of the arrest, there weren't many of us there, but we were as vulnerable to arrest as anyone else and as vulnerable as those who were indeed wrongfully arrested without cause.
