Bobbi Brown, makeup artist to the stars and founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, learned early in life to accept her unconventional looks as beautiful. It was the people around her who sometimes needed to be convinced. "My mother, when I was 21, came to me and said I have to talk to you. 'I think you're beautiful, but you'd be gorgeous with a nose job,'" Brown told a crowd of hundreds of women and men who came to hear her speak about looking your best after turning 50. The topic of health and beauty in the fifth decade of life was among the most popular at the convention, with doxens of product lines and expert speakers filling the exhibition hall to offer help and product samples to the women in attendance.

A review on bobbi brown beauty rules. I cannot explain enough how bad bad bad this book is. Its a real shame as other than a few slip ups, bobbi brown beauty manual wasn't that bad - in fact i quite like it :) So this book was a real shame :( HOWEVER - books i do like :) Scott Barnes - About Face (i'll be reviewing) but great book. Still needs some editing! Rae Morris - Makeup The Ultimate Guide (which is so good that its being used in some makeup schools as a text book!) Robert Jones - All his books because apart from the photoshopped faces!!!!! his skill is much more about beautiful makeup and less about extremes. Kevyn Aucoin - most of this books are very good but his final book about his life is just lovely and i read it all the time.

BOBBI BROWN TINTED EYE BRIGHTENER REVIEW
Bobbi Brown Tinted Eye Brightener receives the worst product of the year. The sad thing is this isn't a bad product, but the amount you get is shocking. 1.5ml for £22 is outrageous. That means for 30ml of this product (tinted product i might add) would cost you £440! We all know that concealers/correctors tend to have more pigment, but because this is a tinted concealer its not even full strength. I'm not knocking bobbi brown, some of her stuff is lovely, but this, for the price, makes my worst product of the year. And while Make Up For Ever HD concealer is only 2.5ml (still shocking) at least its a) cheaper b) more product (1ml more!) and c) has strong pigment. Sigh ... What i want is a concealer that packs a lot of pigment, blends nicely and comes in at least 10-15ml. Its not much to ask is it. Oh, MAC Long Wear concealer (BTW) is very very good :) It really does stay put. Shame it doesn't come in corrector shades.
