A few weeks ago I decided that I wanted a boat trailer for my Traxxas Spartan. After checking around, the cheapest one I could find was $200. So I decided to make one myself. I spent $60 on material and 5 days making it. And I had fun doing it. It's probably not as good as the $200 trailer, but I like it. Here is the 1st boat run of 2012 using the new trailer. Oh yeah... and if you bought one of the Spartans with the original Traxxas ESC, you'll understand why I renamed it the Cold Hard B****. lol.

Two Injured in Boating Accident- Chatham, MA (09-03-11)
CHATHAM -- The Coast Guard and a good Samaritan this morning rescued three people whose boat capsized in the heavy surf on the dangerous shallows off the Chatham coast. Two were taken to Cape Cod Hospital after the rescue, which began at about 7:30 am One victim suffered a knee injury and the other may have swallowed fuel, said Petty Officer 3rd Class Sherman Baldwin, a crew member who was on the rescue mission. Conditions on the Chatham breaks were exceptionally dangerous Saturday morning, with 4- to 6-foot waves, Baldwin said. The harbormaster has recommended that boaters do not attempt to go over them, Baldwin added. The boaters, in a 20-foot center console motor boat, were going through the so-called "new cut" where the water becomes shallow and rough, when their boat capsized, he said. The Coast Guard had to turn back on its first attempt to rescue the boaters because they needed a heavy weather coxswain to captain the boat through the waves, Baldwin said. In the meantime, another boater pulled the three out of the water, where they had spent about 10 minutes. "They were so lucky someone else was out there," Baldwin said. Heavy Weather Coxswain Matthew Hussey was able to get through the new cut and take the victims to shore, Baldwin said. capecodonline.com
