The song was originally recorded and released by the Arrows in 1975 on RAK Records. In 1981, Jett re-recorded the song, this time with her band, The Blackhearts. This recording became a US Billboard Hot 100 number-one single for seven weeks, effectively launching Jett's solo career. The single was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, representing one million units sold. When Britney Spears covered it many years later, she credited Pat Benatar as the one who did the popular cover of it in the early 80's. But well what can one truly expect from Spears? This performance comes from the TV show Boston: Live! which was on Boston station WQTV (channel 68) for a few years in the early 80's. They showcased mostly local but a few national acts. Most acts performed four or five songs which were aired one a day during the week (if I remember correctly, the show was on from 6 to 7 PM weeknights). Unfortunately, this is the only song I have by Jett from this show, so it may have been a one off performance.
