George Benson singing "This Masquerade"
George Benson on vocals and guitar performing his beautiful composition. Pure Soul! "Are we really happy with this lonely game we play Looking for words to say Searching but not finding understanding anyway We're lost in this masquerade Both afraid to say we're just too far away From being close together from the start We tried to talk it over but the words got in the way We're lost inside this lonely game we play Thoughts of leaving disappear Every time I see your face No matter how hard I try To understand the reason why We carry on this way We're lost in a masquerade We could just start over But it's oh so hard to do When you're lost in a masquerade"

George Benson - Nothing's Gonna Change (Original)
This is the original track of the great song "Nothing's gonna change my love for you" by George Benson. It was broadcasted in a TV show in 1985. The original song was released 1984 in album 20/20. Later on in 1987 Glenn Medeiros made a cover of this song with a music video and the song becomes popular worldwide. Most of the people think Glenn Medeiros is the real singer of this track, but the truth is George Benson is the real singer.

George Benson - Guitar Man
Follow George on Facebook: www.facebook.com Legendary Musician George Benson Returns with Guitar Man on October 4 On October 4, 2011, National Endowment of the Arts Jazz Master and Grammy-winning legend George Benson brings his guitar to the forefront in his newest album Guitar Man. The 12-song collection includes a mix of jazz and pop standards -- some in a combo setting and some solo, but all of them tied together seamlessly by Benson's soulful and exploratory signature sound. Lending a hand on this recording is a solid team made up of veterans and newcomers alike -- pianist Joe Sample, keyboardist and musical director David Garfield, bassist Ben Williams and drummer Harvey Mason. Williams is one of the hottest up-and-coming new artists on the jazz scene. Mason is a regular member of Fourplay, and a studio collaborator with Benson all the way back to Benson's 1976 blockbuster album, Breezin'. In a career that spans five decades, more than 30 recordings as a leader and ten Grammy Awards, Benson has used his jazz roots as the foundation for an engaging mix of pop, R&B and other shades that add up to a style that appeals to a broad mainstream audience. Along the way, he has also established himself as a formidable jazz singer -- one whose biggest career hits have showcased his vocals. But Guitar Man is just what the title implies -- an album that highlights Benson's unparalleled guitar playing, perhaps more than any other album he has released in decades. For the new ...

This Masquerade - George Benson (1976)
"This Masquerade" is a song written by Leon Russell. The song first appeared on the B-side of the single for Russell's 1972 hit "Tight Rope". The song has also been recorded by many other artists, such as Helen Reddy, The Carpenters, Shirley Bassey, Sergio Mendes & Brasil '77, No Mercy, Robert Goulet, and Kenny Rogers. Possibly the most notable version of the song was a top-ten pop and R&B hit for jazz guitarist/vocalist George Benson, who recorded it on his 1976 signature album "Breezin'". He had used his vocals infrequently on songs earlier in his career, notably his rendition of "Here Comes The Sun" on the "Other Side Of Abbey Road" album. Benson's recording of "This Masquerade" reached number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the Hot Soul Singles chart. Benson also won the Grammy Award for Record of the Year with his version of the song. Thischannel is dedicated to the classic jazz music you've loved for years. George Benson - Inside Love So Personal - Rock in Rio 1985
Benson was born and raised in the Hill District in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended Schenley High School. He now lives in Englewood, New Jersey's Bergen County. Benson started out playing straight-ahead instrumental jazz with organist Jack McDuff. Benson got his first experience playing with his several-year stint with McDuff's group. At the age of 21, Benson recorded his first album as leader, The New Boss Guitar, with Brother Jack McDuff on organ. Benson's next recording was It's Uptown with the George Benson Quartet with Lonnie Smith on organ and Ronnie Cuber on baritone sax. This album showcases Benson's talent in constructing swinging bebop lines at blistering tempos. Benson followed it up with The George Benson Cookbook, also with Lonnie Smith and Ronnie Cuber. Miles Davis employed Benson's talents in the mid 1960s; Benson played guitar on Paraphenalia, which appeared on the trumpeter's 1967 Columbia release, Miles in the Sky. He went to Verve Records for a spell afterwards. Then, Creed Taylor signed him up for his CTI label, where he recorded numerous albums with jazz heavyweights guesting to limited financial success. Benson also did his versions of The Beatles' 1969 album Abbey Road which he entitled, The Other Side Of Abbey Road (also released in 1969) and "White Rabbit", (the best known version of which was recorded by Jefferson Airplane), around this time. By the mid to late 1970's, as he recorded for Warner Bros. Records (he had recently signed with them ...

George Benson & Al Jarreau - Summer Breeze
Givin' It Up finds crossover Jazz icons guitarist George Benson and vocalist Al Jarreau teaming up for a breezy, enjoyably melodic session that highlights both artists' long careers. Technically a duo album, it is Benson's first since signing with Concord Records. As such, it works as a nice reintroduction to both artists and even finds them reworking the Bobby Womack classic "Breezin'," which Benson originally covered on his 1976 album of the same name. Here listeners get Jarreau adding lyrics and vocals on a version that really evokes the classic '70s Jazz-meets-R&B sound that was an original hallmark of Smooth Jazz. In that sense, Givin' It Up is a true joy for fans of that more organic, song-oriented approach to crossover music, with Benson and Jarreau digging in to such great songs as Seals & Crofts' "Summer Breeze," John Legend's "Ordinary People," and Darryl Hall's "Every Time You Go Away." Also adding some unexpected fun and celebrity sheen to the proceedings is an impromptu appearance by Paul McCartney, who joins in on Sam Cooke's gospel-inflected "Bring It on Home to Me." Throw in appearances by trumpeter Chris Botti, vocalist Patti Austin, pianist Herbie Hancock, and bassist Marcus Miller and Stanley Clarke, and Givin' It Up proves music is always fun with a little help from your friends.

BRENDAN BENSON
www.balconytv.com BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE RHYTHM BUILDING at MUSIC ROW in NASHVILLE TENNESSEE and THERECORDSHOPNASHVILLE.COM Late afternoon, Miami, and Iggy Pop and I were standing watching for a manatee that occasionally swims up along the river at the end of his garden. Pop was bare-chested in cerise trousers, talking about Brendan Benson. "Well you know Brendan," he said, "you how Brendan is, how Brendan sounds..." and as he spoke he waved his hand, stirring the warm air. He was telling me why he had invited Benson to sing on a track on the Stooges' 2007 album the Weirdness. "I wanted a sweet, clean, effortless American voice on that particular chorus," he explained, as we looked down the river. "And Brendan had the voice." For Benson, The Raconteurs was not just an opportunity to play with close friends Jack White (The White Stripes) Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler (The Greenhornes) but also an chance to roll around in the rock, psychedelia and blues that had shaped his musical taste. He once told me how he fell in love with the Blues when he first heard Cream playing Rollin' and Tumblin' on the radio; how this led him to Howlin Wolf and to a guitar style that is "scuffed, scruffy, flappy." "My stuff is all chords and melody," he said. "And so playing with the Raconteurs is so liberating because, when you play the blues with other people, you're all on common ground, you all know the same basics." The key to Benson's talent has always rested there in ...
Herbert Benson: The Relaxation Revolution
Pioneer of mind body medicine Herbert Benson explores his new book, The Relaxation Revolution: Enhancing Your Personal Health Through the Science and Genetics of Mind Body Healing. In the 1970s, Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School ushered in a new era of understanding in the field of mind body medicine. Coining the term "relaxation response," Dr. Benson identified the body's physiologic reaction that is the exact opposite of the stress (fight-or-flight) response. In the four decades since that initial discovery, Benson and his colleagues have established the first effective therapy to counteract the harmful effects of stress. They have explored how the relaxation response, the power of expectation and belief, and other mind body phenomena can produce healing in your own body. Relaxation Revolution details Dr. Benson's recent work with colleagues in the field of genetics, which links mind body treatments to the healing of a steadily expanding number of medical conditions. Mind and body have become part of a scientific and medical whole; together they represent a complete approach to healing and maximal well-being. In clear, straightforward language, Benson and Proctor cite the experiences of real people to show how mind body techniques have the potential not only to enhance healing but also to reduce health costs to individuals and to society as a whole.

Breezin' - George Benson (1976)
"Breezin'" is a hit single and title track from an album by jazz/soul guitarist George Benson, written by Bobby Womack. The album marked the beginning of Benson's most successful period commercially. "Breezin'" topped both the Pop and R&B album charts in Billboard and spun off two hit singles, the title song (which has become a jazz standard) and "This Masquerade". George Benson (born March 22, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American musician, whose recording career began at the age of twenty-one as a jazz guitarist. He is also known as a pop, R&B, and scat singer. This one-time child prodigy topped the Billboard 200 in 1976 with the triple-platinum album, "Breezin'". By the mid to late 1970s, as he recorded for Warner Bros. Records, a whole new audience began to discover Benson for the first time. "Breezin'" was a significant album in terms of popular music history - the first jazz release to go Platinum. Thischannel is dedicated to the classic jazz music you've loved for years. Ashley Benson In New ABC Family Movie 'Ex-mas Carol'
Facebook.com -Check out our Facebook Page! Ashley Benson is taking on another PLL-type role. We've got the info right now. Hey guys! Thanks for coming back to ClevverTV. I'm your host Dana Ward and we're talking about a new film role for Ashley Benson. This popular girl from Pretty Little Liars is reportedly set to star in another ABC Family project, Ex-mas Carol, where she plays Sloane, another fashionable IT girl who works in PR and does whatever it takes to climb the corporate - and social - ladder. That is, until her client goes into a coma and suddenly transforms into Sloane's ghost of Christmas past, present and future - causing Benson's character to question her lifestyle - and actions - altogether. So just like in Pretty Little Liars, Ashley will probably have some secrets, dish some lies and go back-and-forth about who she is and who she wants to be. Oh, and did I mention that there might be a EX-boyfriend involved... Love it! Also in Ex-mas Carol, it's Chad Michael Murray and Christina Milian and it's set to begin production in Atlanta this August. All you PLL fans out there, will you definitely tune into this ABC Family movie? And do you think it will debut with record numbers just like the show? "Pretty Little Liars" Star Ashley Benson Cast In "Spring Breakers" With Selena Gomez
Facebook.com - Become a Fan! Twitter.com - Follow Us! We've got a breaking news update on Pretty Little Liars star Ashley Benson. I'm Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV with the full report. Deadline just broke word that Ashley will star alongside real-life friend Selena Gomez in the upcoming and high profile flick "Spring Breakers." Just a few weeks ago, Emma Roberts dropped out of the movie, which left an open slot and not much time to fill the role, as filming is set to commence in just about two weeks. Maybe movie-makers saw some fun photos from Ashley and Selena's recent trip to Mexico and saw a great casting opportunity. Regardless, Ashley's addition to the star-studded line-up with as I mentioned includes Selena Gomez, as well as James Franco and Vanessa Hudgens is sure to a hit with Young Hollywood fans, and we think Ash is sure to bring her A-game to this project. The flick follows the gals as they rob a fast food joint to pay for their spring break trip to Florida. All seems well until they're arrested and get mixed up with a drug and arms dealer, played by James Franco, who talks them into killing his arch nemesis. Hit the comments section to let us know what you think about Ashley Benson's great news and make sure to stick with ClevverTV for updates on this film by subscribing to our channel on YouTube. I'm Joslyn Davis in Hollywood, thanks for watching and have a great day!

The Fords' Continental Mark II's (Henry II, Benson and William Clay Sr.)
When has anyone seen these historic cars together. They made an appearance at Silver Springs! The first shown, the black car with the canvas top still has the original 368 Y block engine. It was built to be Henry II's wife's car. The next car, the beautiful green one with complimenting upholstery, was Benson's. The original engine was replaced with the larger displacement 430 ci Lincoln engine, and many parts under the hood were chromed at that time. The final car, blue with the blue and gray Detroit Lions colors was owned by William Clay Ford Sr., the father of the current head of the Ford empire. That original engine was replaced by a 460 ci engine, and the interior reupholstered to match the Detroit Lions colors. I consider it a privilege to have videoed these historic cars..they represent the personal vehicles of Edsel's sons. Where would you ever see these vehicles together! They all belong to a collector here in Florida.
