Barbecue Baked Beans Recipe by the BBQ Pit Boys
There's no better eating beans when you serve up your own homemade BBQ Baked Beans right off the Barbecue grill. Watch one of the BBQ Pit Boys show you how easy it is to do. Just add 4-5 1lb. cans of your favorite pre-cooked beans, with 1/4lb. thick-cut bacon, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup chopped onion, 1/4 cup molasses, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 4 tablespoons prepared mustard, to a 3-4 quart black iron pan. Mix the ingredients as shown and then simmer in your covered grill for about an hour, or until the excess liquid renders off. She was already very emotional. I was very emotional, too. I didn't know ANYONE. To my left was Stephanie J. Block and Julia Murney (neither one I had worked with yet) and to my right was the adorable David Burtka and Anythony Rapp. Shoshana was running late, so I was waiting downstairs in the greenroom, by myself, twiddling my thumbs. BE SURE TO SUBSCRIBE TO HIS OTHER CHANNEL JACK ON THE GO youtube.com here is the recipe. 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 onion, chopped 2 carrots, peeled, thinly sliced 1 red bell pepper, seeded, chopped 3 large jalapeño chilies, seeded, minced (about 4 1/2 tablespoons) 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes with added puree 3 cups water 2 15-ounce cans black beans, rinsed, drained 2 15-ounce cans kidney beans, rinsed, drained 5 garlic cloves, minced 2 tablespoons chili powder 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Directions: Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in heavy large pot over medium-high heat. Add onion, carrots, red bell pepper, and jalapeños and sauté until onion and carrots are almost tender, about 8 minutes. Add tomatoes, 3 cups water, beans, white wine vinegar, garlic, and spices. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-high and cook, uncovered, until mixture thickens, stirring often, about 20 minutes. Ladle chili into bowls and serve.
