YouTube Bans Brett Keane but later reinstated him
2 new blog posts up on happycabbie.blogspot.com one addressing Brett Keane and the other addressing Corky who both recently addressed me in video. Well his latest account www.youtube.com although because it was linked to Google Plus it displayed his user name as Brett Keane, was just terminated by YouTube. This comes just hours after he filed a bunch of bogus copyright claims on videos of the BlogTV debate between him and Straightd0pe. While I can not know for sure that he was terminated for abusing the DMCA, the timing is too good to logically assume otherwise. However the people affected will still have to counter-notice these copyright claims in order to have the videos restored and their accounts back into good standing. The counter-notice form starts here www.youtube.com If you require assistance in filling it out feel free to message me on my HappyCabbie channel. In your counter-notice you should state the following. "This video does not violate the copyrights of Brett Keane. Sure the terms of service have long essentially defined everything as hate speech while encouraging people to voice controversial opinions (yes very mixed messages!). In practice this means the policy is defined by how its enforced. Up till recently I thought youtube did an excellent job of allowing vibrant discussion of controversial topics:- a mature and responsible policy that would make anyone who espoused the virtues of the Enlightenment happy! Then I got four videos taken down in half an hour, and a 'privacy notifications' against a further two. Believe it or not, the privacy notifications were against videos where I documented a muslim guy hunting for and dropping my docs. WTF, seriously WTF. He drops my docs, YT scarcely bats an eyelid, now he says the video calling him on it is violating his privacy? The following videos were taken down, according to YT after review by their dedicated members who determined these videos violated terms of use. This can only make sense if its 'Youtube-Malaysia: Theocratic Chapter'. Japan 'tsunami dog' Ban reunited with owner after surviving at sea
A dog which has been rescued at sea off the coast of Kesennuma, Japan, was reunited with the owner on Monday more than three weeks after being washed away by the killer tsunami triggered by the March 11 earthquake. Japanese broadcaster NTV aired images of the reunion with the woman hugging Ban and the dog warmly wagging her tail. The dog was rescued on Friday after being found drifting on a roof. Ban Ki-Moon: Palestine UN bid 'understandable'
Ban Ki-moon, the United Nations secretary general, has said that the Palestinian bid for recognition by the UN is understandable. As he prepares to open the 66th annual General Assembly on September 19, Ban told Al Jazeera that both sides must engage in dialogue, regardless of the outcome of the vote.
