An extract from "La Marche d'Austerlitz" composed by Jean Ledrut for the movie Austerlitz directed by Abel Gance in 1960. This soundtrack became famous after the lawsuit of Joe Meek for plagiarism of Telstar song created in 1962. Joe Meek won in justice after his death.
Battle of Austerlitz (1805) HQ
Taken from the movie "Austerlitz" (1960), courtesy of Compagnie Internationale de Productions Cinématographiques (CIPRA) With threats emerging from the Russia and Austria, Napoleon abandoned his ambitions to invade England during the summer of 1805, and turned to deal with these new adversaries. Moving with speed and efficiency, 200000 French troops departed their camps near Boulogne and began crossing the Rhine along a 160-mile front on September 25. Responding to the threat, Austrian General Karl Mack concentrated his army at the fortress of Ulm in Bavaria. Conducting a brilliant campaign of maneuver, Napoleon swung north and descended on the Austrian rear. After winning a series of battles, Napoleon captured Mack and 23000 men at Ulm on October 20. Though the victory was dampened by Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson's triumph at Trafalgar the next day, the Ulm Campaign effectively opened the way to Vienna which fell to French forces in November. To the northeast, a Russian field army under General Mikhail Illarionovich Golenischev-Kutusov had gathered and absorbed many of the remaining Austrian units. Moving towards the enemy, Napoleon sought to bring them to battle before his lines of communication were severed or Prussia entered the conflict. On December 1, the Russian and Austrian leadership met to decide their next move. While Tsar Alexander I wished to attack the French, Austrian Emperor Francis II and Kutuzov preferred to take a more defensive approach. Under ...

Rasputina: Snow-Hen Of Austerlitz
They say not far away, In fact upon that hill They say that there's a little girl there still She wasn't raised like the other kids Miss Lynn, the Snow Hen of Austerlitz The mother's blind and keeps some birds as pets That her baby is a human she forgets In a tiny wire pen that little girl still sits Miss Lynn, the Snow Hen of Austerlitz She must be ten or eleven now I heard she's pretty but she don't have all her wits She is the Snow Hen of Austerlitz Not having really neither wings nor beak She never learned to walk or speak To the child, the mother never says a word To communicate, this little girl, she chirps like a bird All the birds around they taught the little girl their language When she's not understood she starts to get real angry So she waves her hands around just like they were her wings Hope it when she's happy, you should hear her sing! I'll leave the cage door open We'll see how far she gets She's known as the Snow Hen of Austerlitz Kept like a pet in an old hen coop The mother didn't beat her and she gave her food Still pitiful no care shown but it's The life of the Snow Hen of Austerlitz A skinny thing with brittle glass-like bones Was it wind in the trees or the Snow Hen's moans? From pursed perch from that attic she flits Miss Lynn, the Snow Hen of Austerlitz She must be ten or eleven now I heard she's pretty but she don't have all her wits She is the Snow Hen of Austerlitz I'll leave the cage door open We'll see how far she gets She's known as the ...
Austerlitz 2011
This is just my own simple raw footage from Austerlitz 2011 --- info about the event: The 206th anniversary of the battle of Austerlitz was commemorated during the weekend following the 2nd december 2011, or 11 frimaire 220 according to the french revolutionary calendar. Austerlitz is one of the most important moments of the world military history. The commemorative events are not any celebration of Napoleon or his victory, and by no means any celebration of war or battle. The international political and war events that, at their time, influenced Europe essentially, and divided it for a long time, are becoming ground for get-togetherness and common interest for many people from all around the world. The aim of the events is the commemoration and support of knowledge of the common European history. The main points of program were the saturday battle re-enactement under the Santon hill (14:00), the evening defile, parade and fireworks in Austerlitz (19:30) and the sunday act of piety at the Peace monument, the place of the most serious fights of the battle of Austerlitz (10:30). The scenario of the battle re-enactment with commentary of historian and author of popular books consacred to the napoleonic wars Jiri Kovarik is inspired by the combat of the russian brigade Kamenski and the austrian brigade Jirczik against the french division Saint-Hilaire on the Pratzenberg. Mark Schneider from Virginia will be Napleon of the Austerlitz 2011 event, he has portrayed the french ...
The Battle of Austerlitz
The Battle of Austerlitz, also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors, was one of Napoleon's greatest victories, effectively destroying the Third Coalition against the French Empire. On December 2, 1805, Napoleon's troops decisively defeated a Russo-Austrian army, commanded by Tsar Alexander I, after nearly nine hours of battle. The battle took place at Austerlitz (Slavkov u Brna) about 6.5 km (four miles) east of Brünn (Brno) in Moravia.

Battle of Austerlitz (1993 BBC Documentary Brian Blessed narrates)
The Battle of Austerlitz, also known as the Battle of the Three Emperors, was one of Napoleon's greatest victories, where the French Empire effectively crushed the Third Coalition. On 2 December 1805 (20 November Old Style, 11 Frimaire An XIV, in the French Republican Calendar), a French army, commanded by Emperor Napoleon I, decisively defeated a Russo-Austrian army, commanded by Tsar Alexander I and Holy Roman Emperor Francis II, after nearly nine hours of difficult fighting. The battle took place near Austerlitz (Slavkov u Brna) about 10 Km (6 mi) south-east of Brno in Moravia, at that time in the Austrian Empire (present day Czech Republic). The battle is often regarded as a tactical masterpiece. The French victory at Austerlitz effectively brought the Third Coalition to an end. On 26 December 1805, Austria and France signed the Treaty of Pressburg, which took Austria out of the war, reinforced the earlier treaties of Campo Formio and Lunéville, made Austria cede land to Napoleon's German allies, and imposed an indemnity of 40 million francs on the defeated Habsburgs. Russian troops were allowed to head back to home soil. Victory at Austerlitz also permitted the creation of the Confederation of the Rhine, a collection of German states intended as a buffer zone between France and central Europe. In 1806, the Holy Roman Empire ceased to exist when Holy Roman Emperor Francis II kept Francis I of Austria as his only official title. These achievements, however, did not ...
Battle of Austerlitz (1805) HQ
Taken from the TV miniseries "Napoleon" (2002), courtesy of A&E Television Networks. Great Britain broke the Peace of Amiens and declared war on France in May 1803. Napoleon set up a camp at Boulogne-sur-Mer to prepare for an invasion of Britain. By 1805, Britain had convinced Austria and Russia to join a Third Coalition against France. Napoleon knew the French fleet could not defeat the Royal Navy in a head-to-head battle and planned to lure it away from the English Channel. The French Navy would escape from the British blockades of Toulon and Brest and threaten to attack the West Indies, thus drawing off the British defence of the Western Approaches, in the hope a Franco-Spanish fleet could take control of the channel long enough for French armies to cross from Boulogne and invade England. However, after defeat at the naval Battle of Cape Finisterre in July 1805 and Admiral Villeneuve's retreat to Cadiz, invasion was never again a realistic option for Napoleon. As the Austrian army marched on Bavaria, he called the invasion of Britain off and ordered the army stationed at Boulogne, his Grande Armée, to march to Germany secretly in a turning movement—the Ulm Campaign. This encircled the Austrian forces about to attack France and severed their lines of communication. On 20 October 1805, the French captured 30000 prisoners at Ulm, though the next day Britain's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar meant the Royal Navy gained control of the seas. Six weeks later, on the first ...

Pyramid Austerlitz - The Netherlands! And the Triangle of Abraham
Special Report - Non Mayan Pyramid Investigation- On 10/10/10 we came across a pyramid in the middle of The Netherlands. Pretty much the last thing one would expect. It is called the Pyramid of Austerlitz, as we would learn or La Pyramide d'Austerlitz. It was built during French occupation of Holland or the lowlands in 1804 by General Marmont. Better said, it is claimed that the troops were idle so and not too long before that the General had been with Napoloen in Egypt and wanted to built such a masterpiece in Holland, for with it's flat landscape, it would really stand-out. Marmont's army of 18000 soliders, in a party like atmosphere it is claimed, built this 4-sided pyramid in just 27 days. Notice how we always get back to 9? So I was wonder while filming how it may make alignments with the position of the sun, stars or perhaps earthly landmarks. Found this: Triangle of Abraham Mohamed Sabet, of the Delft University faculty of architecture, sees an alignment between Jerusalem, The Great Pyramid at Giza, the Paris Observatory, Mecca and the Austerlitz Pyramid in Holland. Source: hddesign.forumup.nl For more info, watch 2012portal.myfeedportal.com as we follow this non-Mayan mystery, but none-the-less perhaps linked in the bigger scheme of 2012 and things. If ever in Holland near Zeist, just outside of Utrecht, visiting and climbing the Pyramid Austerlitz - the largest pyramid in western Europe, is well worth it!
1805 - Austerlitz (1/6)
Bernadotte at Austerlitz and Wagram
Jean Baptiste Bernadotte played an importent part in both the battle of Austerlitz (1805) and the battle of Wagram (1809). In 1799 Bernadotte was one of Europes mightiest person as warminister in the frensh government, he was Napoleons chief and perhaps the only person that could have stoped his coup. Bernadotte also wanted to conquer India...from Great Britain, but the plan didn´t take place. 150000 men meet on a field of battle, and an Empire is lost forever... "Revenge is like a ghost. It takes over every man it touches. It's thirst cannot be quenched, until the last man standing has fallen. The world's men of action will look and wonder... how it came to this. You may be able to destroy me, but the beast will eventually come for you." Some random thing I put together to avoid studing for my finals.
