The real Jane Austen 1-8
A BBC documentary produced in 2002 and directed by Nicky Patterson. The narrator Anne Chancellor is related to Jane Austen herself and played the part of Caroline Bingley in BBC' s "Pride and Prejudice ' (1995). This video was up until recently in user's "inmypooropinion" channel which was closed. The only reason I upload it is because it was a favorite with some people. But, as I recognize the effort and time to prepare a video, I felt that I should give my due to "inmypooropinion" and in case he/she creates a different channel and wants to use his/her videos again, he/she can notify me with a private message to withdraw it.

The Jane Austen Book Club trailer
As five women and one enigmatic man meet to discuss the works of Jane Austen, they find their love lives playing out in a 21st century version of her novels. Sylvia (Amy Brenneman), is shocked when her husband Daniel (Jimmy Smits), leaves her after 20 plus years and three children. Jocelyn (Maria Bello), her unmarried best friend, distracts herself from her unacknowledged loneliness by breeding dogs. Prudie (Emily Blunt) is a young French teacher, in possession of a worthy husband yet distracted by persistent fantasies about sex with another man. The many times married Bernadette (Kathy Baker) develops a yearning for one more chance at happiness. Beautiful, risk-taking Allegra (Maggie Grace), Sylvia and Daniel's lesbian daughter, has quit talking to her lover. And Grigg (Hugh Dancy), a young science fiction fan and computer whiz, seems horribly both out of place and obliviously at ease as the only man to be invited into the book circle.

Hallelujah - Melancholia in Jane Austen stories

Jane Austen's Biography
Pride and Prejudice Original Soundtrack - Universal Music Group (All Rights Reserved) A presentation created by Sheila Morato "... The time in which Jane Austen wrote her novels was a period of great stability just about to give way to a time of unimagined changes. At that time most of England's population (some thirteen million) were involved in rural and agricultural work: yet within another twenty years, the majority of Englishmen became urban dwellers involved with industry, and the great railway age had begun. Throughout the early years of the century the cities were growing at a great rate; the network of canals was completed, the main roads were being remade. Regency London, in particular, boomed and became, among other things, a great centre of fashion. On the other hand, England in the first decade of the nineteenth century was still predominantly a land of country towns and villages, a land of rural routines which were scarcely touched by the seven campaigns of the Peninsular War against Napoleon... Austen presents a rather cool and objective view of the society behaviour at her time and the limited options of the women. Genteel women could not get money except by marrying for it or inheriting it. They had to acquire accomplishments such as ability to draw, sing, play music, or speak modern languages (French, Italian) to attract a husband. Even though, her heroines have distinct and sparkling personalities as the character Elizabeth Bennet insist on being ...

And you wouldn't believe it, there's Boomer's wife Warra sittin there tryin to Platypus! Now, I don't like to speak Illawarra, but I was shocked, I mean how much can a Koala bear. So I grabbed a beer, flashed me Wangarratta and went out and joined the party. Pretty soon Ayers Rocks in and things really started jumpin'. This Indian girl, Marsu, turns up, dying to go to the toilet but she couldn't find it. I said to me mate Al, "Hey, where can Marsupial?" He said "She can go outback with the fellas, she's probably seen a cockatoo". Well just then Warra comes out of the kitchen with a few drinks for everybody. Fairdinkum, you've never seen a Coolabah maid. I grabbed a beer and said, "Thanks Warra - tah". A couple of Queensland at the party, one smellin' pretty strongly of aftershave. One of 'em sat down next to me and I turned to him and I said, "Ya know mate, Eureka Stockade!" It was a really hot day; Oscar felt like a swim. He said to Ina, "Do you want a have a dip in the ...

Louie Austen - Hoping
Louie Austen is the A side entertainer of another generation. An austrian vocalist known for his 'study' of the ratpack, sings his songs over an electronic backing produced and arranged by today's great electronic producers. An incredibly interesting concept, actually realized to decent effect. Loving this guy is easy. Be sure... he's gonna love you back.

Lost in Austen - EP1. Part 1
Lost in Austen is a four-part 2008 British television series , written by Guy Andrews as a fantasy adaptation of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Loosely following the plot of Austen's novel, it sees a modern girl somehow transported into the events of the book via a portal located in her bathroom. Each episode this serie I divided in 4 parts. Enjoy it.

A visit to Jane Austen's home (At Home with the Georgians)
Available on DVD from all major retailers. Prize-winning author Professor Amanda Vickery sets her sights on the golden age of homemaking -- the Georgian era. Through dramatic reconstruction she traces the story of the unique relationship Britons enjoy with their homes, arguing that the Georgians' preoccupation with décor helped to redefine the part played by men and women in British society. Characters from all walks of life; gentlewomen in their stately mansions, to servants with only a locking box to call their own are bought to life as Amanda reveals the artifacts, letters and diaries of the age where the modern notion of a 'home' was born

Ever since then he´s been electrotaining people with his surrealistic fusion of his incredible & unique voice and modern club sounds. Louie Austen - Myamy Original Mix
rapidshare.com Louie Austen, the guy who combines clubby tunes with vocals à la Frank Sinatra, is back with an EP called MyAmy, which includes two brand new tracks and three remixes. Flying Away is a retaliation for the worlds misery, nicely packed in a disco track. While Austrian musician Just Banks took a deep house approach to the song on his dub remix, Mike Rigler made a brash electro track out of it. In MyAmy, the second song on the EP, Louie professes his love for Amy Winehouse. Not surprisingly, the homage to the enfant terrible is a fun track with great lyrics. Bombjack puts the icing on the cake with his re-edit, which sounds as if he had a whole big band in the studio.
